Nice, easy to use kitchen timer
We recently bought the CDN TM30 Direct Entry 2-Alarm timer based on price, features and what the reviews had to say. So far, this timer is exactly what we needed. The direct numbers make it very easy to key in the amount of time you need, the beep is quite audible, the timing is spot-on. I'd honestly give this timer 4.5 stars had it been possible as the stand isn't great and the magnet isn't quite strong enough to hang onto our fridge. Otherwise a perfect timer for us, and a good value, too. Btw, we had previously had another brand of timer with direct numbers, but we hated it *lol* and the darn thing wouldn't die. The buttons were hard to push, it was hard to hear and sometimes when you stopped it, it would turn back on and run the time all over again. So it's no wonder we're happy about this timer. So far, good good :) *UPDATE - January 16, 2019* Well, we've owned this timer since June, 2016, and despite being used daily several times and being dropped a number of times, it's still the best timer we've had. In fact, I'm ordering a second one so my husband can have one for his wood finish curing times while we have one to use in the kitchen, as well.

Love the CDN Timer!
Love it! I have one in the kitchen and one elsewhere. It's so convenient, reliable, and so easy to set seconds, minutes, and hours. It can stand up or use the magnet on the back. Of course I could use my cell, but this works well for me. I'm planning to give it as a gift!

Magnet fell off...reglued
Timer works as it should. It's senior user friendly. The magnet sticks to the fridge however, it came unglued. We just reglued it and it worked out. Hopefully the timer lasts functioning.

Loud, simple, 10+ hour, easy-to-use timer
This timer has a fairly standard front and a slider on the back DISPLAY Format: H:MM SS H=hour, MM=minutes and SS= seconds, with hours and minutes separated by a colon on timer and minutes and seconds have a space between them. NUMBER BUTTONS on FRONT: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0 The buttons are not huge, but reasonably large and easy to push. You enter numbers only and they move to the left as you enter more numbers. OTHER BUTTONS on FRONT: 1 - CLEAR: Clears display (if timer is stopped) to 0:00 00 2 - START/STOP: Does several things (a) Stops timer if it is running. (b) starts timer to COUNT UP, 1 second at a time, if set to 0:00 00, and (c) starts timer to COUNT DOWN, 1 second at at a time, if some time is set on the timer. SLIDER on BACK: Small vertical slider (BEEP on top and VIBRATE below - you must be in one mode or the other) BEEP is a normal loud timer, VIBRATE only vibrates. STAND on BACK: This is very handy for letting the timer stand up, but you can also collapse the stand in by turning the timer upside down and pushing the top of stand. There is also a not so super strong magnet on the back of the stand which I do not use. TIMER PROS: The display is easy to read and the numbers are easy to see and push to set the timer. To set time to 1 hour and 23 minutes and 45 seconds, enter 12345, which will display like this: 1:23 45 For 1 hour and 23 minutes and no seconds you must put in the seconds as 00 so you enter 12300 (which displays as 1:23 00) This timer can be set to 9:99:99 = 9 hours + 99 minutes (1 hour and 39 minutes) +99 seconds (1 minute and 39 seconds) for a MAXIMUM TIME of 10 hours, 40 minutes and 39 seconds which is a long time to time anything, especially sleep. So, this timer is the best ALARM CLOCK I own. If want to run be reminded of something in 10 hours, set the timer for 9:60:00 (9 hours + 60 minutes = 10 hours) and push the START/STOP button once to start it counting down. It uses a single AAA battery which seems to last forever (maybe several years) and I use this timer multiple times a day. Despite at least one Amazon comment to the contrary, this timer is indeed LOUD, the loudest timer I own. Perhaps a weak battery might cause a problem, but mine is easy to hear. TIMER CONS: It is confusing to call this a “2-Alarm Timer” as there is ONE timer with 2 alarm MODES (a Beep mode and a Vibrate mode, which you set at the back of timer to one mode or the other). Two modes may actually be a feature which some people apart from me might find quite handy. If you are expecting 2 timers, you will be disappointed. OVERALL: This is a fantastic timer, very loud and easy to use. I love it and use it daily as a timer but also to time events by letting it count up and also use it as an alarm clock. It seems very rugged as I have dropped it a number of times but it keeps on working.

Malfunctions frequently, true junk.
I bought this timer a few months ago and I liked the numeric keypad and overall external design. However, it soon began to malfunction. Recently I was running water in a sink and set the timer to remind myself to come back and turn it off, but the timer never chimed and I had a huge flood that went through the kitchen floor into the basement. I was exceedingly peeved, obviously, and had a lot of repair work to do. I wondered if this might be a case of user error, so I did not toss the timer out, and instead I tested it a couple more times on less risky projects. The battery was new and in good shape, and display was clear and bright, so no battery problem. Anyway, I set the timer and watched to see what would happen. The timer stopped at the appointed time, but there was no sound coming from it, which is why I never knew I had a flooding sink. After a few seconds, it beeped very weakly, interestingly, but it was barely audible. This timer is a huge, huge piece of junk. If you have this timer and you notice that when you press the keypads the beeps (due to pressing keypad) sound kind of weak, and shaky, beware--this timer will malfunction and whatever project you need it for will likely end up in disaster at some point. I am seriously not happy. I had to go out and buy a new timer, and obviously I bought a different brand and different model. Beware because sometimes you'll see the same model but with different brand names on the timer. Just don't buy it. The company who makes it should be ashamed. UPDATE: I had purchased two of these timers, and now the second one is malfunctioning.

Best timer I’ve found….
I bought a CDN timer way back in 2018. The only defect after all these years is a couple black spots in the display, caused by my husband dropping it a few times over the years. I had also bought a 2nd timer from PC, that has the ability to set 4 timers at once. Their new timer doesn’t retain the set time. It has to be input every stinkin time, even if you use it for the same time every day. I got so disgusted with having to do that, so I bought 2 more CDN timers. Very reliable, & the numbers on the 7 year old timer are very much intact. My deaf husband always says the volume is too low, but I find it loud enough.

Almost perfect. Good volume to be heard from the next room but not so loud it’s too much nearby. Love the direct input, the single Clear button, the previous entry memory, and the change to stopwatch mode when the timer goes off. While it stays on the fridge just fine, it needs stabilization to set the time - easily fits in my palm for this, or I can lightly hold in place with 2 fingers of one hand while I set it with the other. If I cared, I could remove the flip stand on the back and apply a magnet to the flat surface instead. My dream timer, so happy with it.

This is a good thermometer for chocolate but it does have issues. The temperatures are in farinheit and it's extremely fragile. The first I ordered arrived broken in two. The second one also arrived broken.

No te fies de la fotografia de lo que parece un reloj de cocina. El producto es un termómetro de cristal, largo, con la escala en grados Fahrenheit y estuche de plastico. El termómetro no es de mercurio.
