Perfect for powdering small pills
This is an extremely helpful tool for those looking to crush small pills. Itโs advantage over a standard mortar and pestle is that you are able to see that youโve removed all of the powdered pill from the mortar, due to the mortarโs transparency and smooth surface of the glass. This is an HUGE advantage over opaque mortars, especially when dealing with small pills where every bit counts. Be aware that because of the smooth surface of the glass, technique must be modified from a circular grinding to a tapping motion. Tapping the pill instantly shatters it, continuing to tap turns it into a fine powder. Depth of the mortar keeps pills from popping out and the pestle is heavy enough to crush pills easily. Very pleased with the design and function of this tool!
