This yogurt has it all - and for half the price of the others I've looked at! When it first arrived, I thought the instruction manual must be missing: it was just a folded up sheet! I thought there had to be more that was missing, but this little machine is so easy to use; after pouring (UNHEATED!) milk and up to 1 tsp of the packaged culture(not included) into the provided metal canister, you put on the cover and plug it in. Voila! 12 hrs later, you have perfect yogurt. I tried mine with grass-fed whole milk and it was so rich and creamy I didn't need to strain it. I also made soy milk yogurt using West Life organic soy milk, 1 tsp of powdered culture, and 12 hrs later - rich, creamy soy yogurt! I was worried that incubating for 12 hrs would produce a very sour yogurt, but the taste was mild and creamy, with just a slight tanginess to it. This JoyMech yogurt maker is the perfect size for one person - the container holds about 3 1/2 cups of milk. It would definitely be too small for a family of 3 or 4, but for me, a container lasts me about 3 days if I eat the yogurt every day for 1 meal. The metal container is easy to pop into the dishwasher, and, best of all, unlike the Bear yogurt maker that I finally gave up on because of its breakable glass container, the JoyMech metal container is very easy to remove with no possible breakage.

It is easy way to make home made yogurt without any additives with JoyMech Yogurt Maker. I have been using this for more than 2 years. Previously I bought one for my friend in Wichita, Kansas and this one was for my eldest sister in NY. It's a healthy desert that I can have with fruits. You can make them sweet or plain. It's easy to use and easy to clean. Perfect size with simple design. A larger version might help for household with multiple members that love yogurt.

This product is smaller than the larger and more expensive devices, but makes a good amount of yogurt in twelve hours, with no problem. Overnight works best. Start the mix after dinner, turn on the maker and in the morning you have fresh yogurt, ready for refrigeration and prep. Tasty within an hour in the fridge.

Stopped working after the 2nd use. No longer gets hot enough. At first I thought maybe it was the recipe so I tried several others same result. I wasted bout 60.00s in ingredients.

This product worked just fine for me, I did not read the comments until after purchasing and got scared. But truthfully the directions could be better but with Google and finding out how to make yogurt thicker if that is what you like, this product can do all, so combining google info and the directions you will have a very nice machine, it is solid but do wish it was larger, I like making a lot, but no matter, the machine works very well and delivers. Unless a mechanical failure happens which happens at manufacturing don't blame the whole lot of them, give this a try it has a great price tag and works like a charm so far.

So, I though this machine did everything for you. I poured COLD milk into the bowl and added store bought yogurt for the cultures. It stayed soupy. I wrapped a dish towel around and over it. After 18 hours in the machine and 8 hours in the fridge I had thick and creamy yogurt. I eat yogurt daily! I will be making yogurt every other day with this machine. I am returning this. I will keep going to Costco to buy my yogurt. Maybe if the bowl held more liquid to yield more yogurt I would be interested. Hint. wrap it in a dish towel to retain the heat and keep the machine on for 4-6 hours longer than the recommended 12 hrs. I used Fat Free milk, and a few tables spoons of store-bought Greek yogurt. The taste was good as well. So, it does work! Just more practical to purchase yogurt from the store. JoyMech if you ever make a bigger machine. I would definitely give it a try.

This yogurt maker is low quality. The temperature is not consistent, and the metal pan you are supposed to make the yogurt in is not suitable because I would not store it in the refrigerator, and it gets too hot on the bottom. The way I made this machine work is: Instead of the metal pan, I use a 4 cup glass pyrex storage bowl (the kind with a plastic lid, but don't use the lid while making the yogurt). It fits, suspended in the machine but does not touch the bottom and does not get too hot. The yogurt maker lid does fit over it. When the yogurt is ready, I put on the plastic storage lid and place it directly in the fridge. You can only actually make 3 1/2 cups of yogurt at one time with this, which is okay, I guess. With everything being made so poorly these days, I decided to keep this, and it is working fine with my adaptations, at least for now. If it doesn't last I'll report, and lower the rating.

We love this very easy to use Yougart maker. It makes delicious yougart My tips 1. Use 3 cups 100% whole fresh milk, mix 2 TBS full fat power milk well into the fresh mix (this makes it thick) 2 Place the above ingredients in a microwave bowl and heat on full power for 1min then stir, heat again, do this 3 times, to heat milk gently. (All in all you heat it 3 min) 3. Mix a small tub of full fat yougart into the warm milk, mix well 4. Poor the mixture into the steel bowl of the yougart masjien 5. Put the plastic lid on, make sure lid is turned to yougart 6. Power on the masjien and let it warm for 24 hour. Do not touch it or even lift the lid to take peek 7. After 24 hours take the steal bowl out of the masjien and let it cool down for 1 hour before you put it in the fridge 8. Keep covered in fridge ENJOY

Petit prix mais bon produit quand même. 1L de lait fait environ 10 yaourts. J’utilise des ferments du commerce et le résultat est délicieux en 12h. Elle fait le job c’est parfait et elle prend peu de place avec sa simple cuve. Il n’y a pas de minuteur ni d’interrupteur mais au final ce n’est pas indispensable. J’aurais aimé un couvercle pour mettre la cuve au frigo après mais c’est pas grave. Super petit appareil.
