What colors are recommended?** A: Before you can decide which color is appropriate you have to decide how important accuracy is to you. The Federal Standard color for the F4U-4 is FS 15042. Most brands of paint have this color in their lines. I like accuracy but scale modeling should be joyful and not so much mind numbing history and referencing. FS 15042 is a very dark blue. It should also have some luster, not dead matte. I say Royal Blue with some black will get you in the ballpark. Vallejo 70.898 Dark Sea Blue acrylic is a good choice. Tamiya XF-17 is what I used but be sure you have good ventilation. Have fun!! **Q: Do I have to glue every piece together? And how small are the pieces?** A: Yes, you do. The pieces are relatively small. Pay close attention to the landing gear all three and the A.P.U. behind the propeller and in front of the spherical engine. You may accidentally grind off the locking piece of the APU. **Q: Why does it say 21.2 x 15.7 x 31 inches? I recieved my model. Its not that big. Disappointing.** A: Hi, even this size is kind of an Amazon error, from this question I understand, that you expected that 1:72 scale model, which after build has size approx. 6x7", will be packed in a much bigger box? If you are looking for something with this big size 21.2 x 15.7 x 31", be aware that it will be much more expensive, logistics for that is very costly. If you are looking for 1:72 scale model, you already get fantastic model for beginners, just read reviews **Q: Does it come with decals?** A: Yes; it comes with decal.
