The description shows this having 8MB of onboard memory and no SD card slot, but what arrived was the opposite: it has no onboard memory and does have an SD card slot.I'm keeping it anyway because I needed something in a hurry but I did choose the version with onboard memory for a reason so it's frustrating to be sent the wrong thing and to have to find an SD card to put in it.However apart from that it does work well. You can read and write the SD card via the USB port. The speaker output seems to work really well when paired with a 4 ohm 5 watt audio exciter and can go surprisingly loud.The various modes are fairly easy to understand but I had to look up what the DIP switch settings are on a different seller's listing for the same product.It's quite a flexible little device. Great for working with an Arduino or other microcontroller.
