Product description Dressings combine an absorbent pad with a soft and conformable fixative layer for the simple and effective management of sutured wounds. Features Soft breathable cover Highly absorbent pad Low allergy adhesive Conformable pad and cover Benefits Highly absorbent and low-adherent pad The polyester wound contact layer enables the passage of blood or exudate into the highly absorbent pad while maintaining a good healing environment and minimal pain on dressing removal. Safe and secure fixation The low allergy acrylic adhesive is evenly spread onto the non-woven backing surface providing a safe and secure dressing fixation over the wound site. Soft and conformable Ensures patient comfort and conformability to all wound sites (even the more difficult areas like shoulders and axillae). Ease of use The protector paper, which is slit across the width of the dressing, enables quick application without the risk of touching the absorbent pad or adhesive area with fingers or forceps. The easily opened packaging facilitates aseptic dressing technique. Patient comfort The thick pad minimizes fluid strike-through and helps to protect the wound from trauma. Indications To dress post-operative wounds, minor cuts, abrasions, lacerations and puncture sites where a water-resistant dressing, which aids in the prevention of bacterial contamination, is required. Directions Partial directions: Use the protector paper to apply the dressing without touching the absorbent pad or adhesive area. Ensure an aseptic dressing technique when applying.

Review: Breathable Dressings which are exactly that - These breathable dressings are an absolute godsend. The melolin patch which goes over the wound is non-wound adhering, but even so, we use the Inadine patches as well, which negates this problem, but again, it's not a problem with these dressings. It does takes practice putting them on as they are so sticky and if they stick to themselves. you might as well give up and get another. If you think of them a bit like clingfilm, only take one side of the dressing cover off and try and apply this first. I've always found if you bend slightly wherever you are going to put this dressing, it adheres so well and you don't have to worry about it stretching etc. They are hard to get off, but that's what you want. A good soak in the shower usually helps. Sometimes, they can leave a black outline and I just use nail varnish or turps to remove this but fair warning, don't get this in the wound, it won't do any harm, but you might just lose some finger nails from clinging to the ceiling!!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Breathable Dressings which are exactly that

These breathable dressings are an absolute godsend. The melolin patch which goes over the wound is non-wound adhering, but even so, we use the Inadine patches as well, which negates this problem, but again, it's not a problem with these dressings. It does takes practice putting them on as they are so sticky and if they stick to themselves. you might as well give up and get another. If you think of them a bit like clingfilm, only take one side of the dressing cover off and try and apply this first. I've always found if you bend slightly wherever you are going to put this dressing, it adheres so well and you don't have to worry about it stretching etc. They are hard to get off, but that's what you want. A good soak in the shower usually helps. Sometimes, they can leave a black outline and I just use nail varnish or turps to remove this but fair warning, don't get this in the wound, it won't do any harm, but you might just lose some finger nails from clinging to the ceiling!!

Working with volunteers clearing footpaths I know deep scratches from brambles are inevitable. However other plaster suppliers have their plaster so deep in packaging that we elderly with less dexterity and eyesight find it so difficult to unwrap. Especially in the cold. These are so much quicker and easier to open without touching the medicated strip. They are modestly priced, a good size and stick well even one on top of another. I will ensure all our medical kits are updated with these.

It’s perfect for a wound on your shin for example that needs to be big enough for your leg to bend etc without the plaster falling off. It also stays on very well, I am very pleased with this purchase and will not hesitate to purchase again.
