24 Volt 350 Watt MY1016Z3 Gear Reduction Electric Motor with 9 Tooth Sprocket for E Scooter

Bought this to replace my old motor on razor quad 24v. Motor mount holes line up perfectly. Has to remove chain tensioner from old motor to install on this new one. Had to use the sprocket from the old motor to fit the chain. Also has to grind off one side of the sprocket to make it flat so the screw would screw on and hold it in place. Over works good just minor adjustments.

I bought this to replace the motor that came with the e-bike conversion kit after the freewheel sprocket failed. I decided on this one because it’s still 24v, but 350w instead of 250w. So far, the difference is substantial. This motor pulls me, a 250lb man up steep hills with very little pedaling effort, albeit I would normally assist anyway for the exercise. The top speed is a little slower without the freewheel, and the motor reduces downhill speeds by a lot. Actually, it makes it more safe and practical for getting around town. I barely have to use my coaster brake at all. I put this bike together for my girlfriend because she loved the way it looked, but the beach cruiser single-speed bike itself is too heavy to be able to get around in our town full of hills. These motor kits make that a thing of the past. Also, so far this motor seems to run cooler and more efficient than the one that comes with the kit I used. Highly recommended.

Great motor for the price

I know it says doesn’t fit on razor dirt quad but I had no problem putting it on mine. I had to angle grind down the original sprocket from the dirt quad since this sprocket was much smaller but you could just buy a new sprocket and skip that step. Besides that the motor ran in reverse so I just reversed the polarity by connecting red to black and black to red. But as far as no compatibility, it worked just fine so who knows what they mean. Motor runs smooth no issue

I used two of these motors with a wheelchair joystick controller to make a homebuilt aircraft tug. They work great!!
