Burt'S Bees Body Lotion, Cocoa and Cupuacu Butters, 0.45-Pound (Pack of 2)

While I love most Burt's Bees facial products, I don't have a much luck with their lotions and creams, save for one. Most of them feel too tacky or sticky for me, like you would expect from a more natural product, or I just didn't care for the smell. I do love and use Burt's Bees Cocoa Butter and Macadamia Nut Butter cream, which has been a Godsend on my dry, itchy skin. Even though I love the Cocoa/Macadamia product, it's a bit inconvenient to me with having to scoop cream out of the jar just to moisturize my hands, not to mention when I need something for when I'm out of the house. I also work from home and type all day, and since it takes a little while to absorb naturally, it's not always convenient in this sense either. So, I pretty much only put it on after I shower, but I wanted something light and quick-absorbing for when I need to wash my hands, etc. throughout the day and especially for when summer hits. I found this Cocoa and Capuacu lotion just recently and, so far, I'm really pleased with the results. It's not greasy or sticky and it absorbs quickly - pretty much like your average store-bought brands. It's also light and has so far softened my skin, which is another bonus. I do like the smell and it's mellow after it dries, but I wouldn't say it's as vanilla-like as the product claims - at least to me. Then again, I'm learning that everyone's sense of smell differs, so I would say to give it a try. I know that I've tried some other BB products that people claimed smelled like heaven, only to think that it smelled a bit like rancid milk later. So, you never know! It's not my favorite scent right out of the tube, though it's not unpleasant. All in all, I think it smells good and natural once dried and I've even had a few compliments in the last few days since wearing. It doesn't last me 24 hours as the product claims either, but we're also in the middle of a dry winter with Santa Ana winds in full force off and on as well, so it's hard to say how it would be on a normal basis. However, I have no problem putting more on and actually enjoy doing so, even while I'm working. I love the fact that it's 99% natural and the price is great too, especially on Amazon when compared to the actual website. You don't need a lot, as with most BB, but even excessive amounts seem to absorb well, which I love. I can see that the tubes will last for a good while. I'm certainly happy and my hands are, too.

Not too thick, not too thin. Moisturizes nicely. Not oily. Smells good but not too much. We like it and it is a good value compared to buying at the store.

This is hands down the only body moisturizer that does what it claims and keeps the skin moisturized for 24 hours. Also, it comes in scented and unscented types, tube or pump varieties, and the price is certainly competetive. However, what I want to comment on is the stellar vendor. I ordered 2 pump bottles, and one arrived malfunctioning. I intended both as stocking stuffers, but gave up hope that I could replace or reorder the broken one in time. But, when I notified the vendor mine was broken, I was offered a replacement no questions asked, and even better, no return necessary. Furthermore, the replacment arrived 1-2 days after notificatikn AND during Christmas week!!!, in time to be given as a present. I could not be more impressed with the quality nor especially with the service.

I love this lotion - it truly does moisturize longer than others, but does not have a greasy feel. The one thing I've consistently noticed is that this larger pump bottle doesn't smell as good as the smaller squeeze tube type bottles Burt's Bees Body Lotion, Cocoa And Cupuacu Butters, 6-Ounce (Pack of 2) and once this larger pump bottle is down to the last inch to an inch and a half it won't pump out anymore. Smell: I love the cocoa smell. However, it seems "faded" (for lack of a better word...) in this bottle. I can barely smell it till the bottle is close to 1/2 way empty, then the smell seems to increase. Since you are lucky to get about 25-30% of the last half of the bottle, this is a real bummer. With the smaller 6 oz tubes/bottle, the smell is consistent and it is easy to squeeze out the last drops of lotion (same way as you'd do with toothpaste tubes/bottles.) Cost: I've bought this larger bottle 3-4x now, because it is much cheaper at $9 for 12 oz pump bottle vs. $16 for two of the 6 oz bottles. The first time I thought perhaps the 12 oz pump bottle of lotion was old, maybe just sitting around a long time, and so lost it's scent. However, the subsequent bottles have all been exactly the same. Mysteriously, the lotion in the 6 oz bottles have never had this problem. So, while more expensive, I'm having to go with the 2 pack of 6 oz bottles instead. If you like this lotion, or want to try it out, absolutely go with the 6 oz bottles instead.

I love this lotion. It's a little greasier than the Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion but it keeps my skin moisturized longer. I have really dry skin, which causes it to get itchy, so I would regularly apply lotion at night after my shower before bed. With the Aveeno lotion, I had to reapply at least one more time during the day but with this Burt's Bees product, I am good for 24 hours. My husband prefers the Aveeno lotion because it rubs in faster and dries faster, but for me I wanted a product that was not too heavy or thick, felt moisturizing and lasted all day and this seems to do the trick. It smells like cocoa butter, which is fine with me. It's not overpowering at all. I only wish the bottle were a little bigger, this is part of my Subscribe and Save and I had to move my subscription up to every two months since that's how long it lasts me.

Soft and smooth

The lotion is perfect for dry skin. Keeps my skin well moisturized for two days. The formula is thick and hard to pump - I remove it from the bottle and put it into a small plastic round container. Works great.

Me gusta mucho ésta crema, la compro de manera regular, no es pesada y es muy hidratante.

Product was broken and overpriced so had to return. I also had to pay for the postage !
