I wish I'd bought three of them! Works like the ones from the 1980's! Superb!
The media could not be loaded. Those of you who remember the bug zappers we had in the 80's will also remember how PETA pushed hard enough to get these zappers to be a little less 'traumatic' for the bugs, and hence, they didn't perform, sound, zap, or smell, like the original zappers did. What a disappointment that was! I'm an animal lover, but when it comes to bugs, that's a big NOPE for me. Especially mosquitoes, here in muggy, humid, hot, wet north Florida. All year long...I have pretty much went for 3 decades without the satisfaction of those beloved old bug zappers from the weird 80's. I'm telling my age here folks, haha. I don't care. I just know that now, at the ripe old at of 56, I have FINALLY gotten myself a bug zapper that works! Just as good as the old ones, friends!I got it last week, when Amazon was having their spring sale. It was $33. I'm angry I didn't buy three of them! Had NO idea it was going to work so well! I tried to take a short quick video for you, but for some reason, my iPhone 12 can't capture the zap! sound. It sounds more like a thud, or thump, or thunk. No idea why, but you can still see the zap. AND (I'd forgotten this!) you can SMELL the little F$(#*#s when they get zapped! Gross, but yeah, SO satisfying, to see, hear, AND smell their fear and loathing and death! You will NOT be disappointed! You WILL be amazed at how many bugs you're gonna kill. My husband hung ours outside the kitchen window, and we could see the sparks flying, but couldn't hear it, until he opened the window, and then it sounded like bacon frying, it was cooking so many bugs at once! Here in FL, we live out in the woods, and it rained recently. The mozzies are back out and big!I don't know if FLIES are attracted to this light or not, but al kinds of other bugs were, so I'm assuming they are too. I WILL be buying another one of these, no, make that TWO more of these, when they go back on sale. One tip--so important: Do NOT put this light near where you plan to be--- because you will be inundated with bugs! They go nuts as soon as the light comes on. I have all kinds of those GOVEE branded colored lights you put on your house, under the eaves, and as spotlights, rope lights, etc, all GOVEE brand, and I told my husband I was afraid this light won't attract the bugs, not with all of my colored GOVEE lights going, but I was wrong!Make sure you hand this light about 25 feet away from where you plan to hand out. They will go THERE, not where you are. And then kick back and watch the sparking action! I swear, it's better than a Marvel movie!

fun to watch
After purchasing this item I put it on a timer, on at 8 pm off at 6 am. Sometimes I go out and am startled by the zap. Another bug gone. I have to empty it every day. There is bug ash in the bottom. Rarely dose it kill a moth. They don't go near the coil, they just get stuck in the bottom. When I empty the unit they just fly away. There are a lot of mosquito bodies in the ash. Not much to show in a picture, just ash. Worth while purchase.

Short cable
There is a slot for bug attraction, this does not include anything to go there so you'll need to buy it separately.5 stars however, no need for you to put anything in the tray as it zaps bugs effectively! The cable is a bit short so that limits you on where to plug it in, but it's zapping flies and mosquitoes throughout the day. Very good product!

Corded
I purchased the GOOTOP Bug Zapper Outdoor and overall, I'm quite satisfied with its performance!Effectiveness:This mosquito zapper does an excellent job at attracting and eliminating those pesky bugs. I noticed a significant reduction in mosquito activity in my backyard since I started using it. It's definitely a relief to enjoy the outdoors without constantly swatting away insects!Design and Features:While the zapper is effective, my only drawback is that it is corded. I found this a bit inconvenient as it limits where I can place it. A rechargeable or battery-operated option would have provided more flexibility for positioning, especially when hosting outdoor gatherings.Ease of Use:On a positive note, the setup was straightforward, and it’s easy to clean. The design is also quite sleek, making it a nice addition to my outdoor decor.Overall Impression:In summary, the GOOTOP Bug Zapper Outdoor is a solid choice for anyone looking to reduce mosquito presence in their outdoor spaces. It works effectively, although the corded design is a slight drawback. If you can work around the cord issue, I definitely recommend this product!

30 minutes and it’s still chirping!
Wow Florida mosquitoes! No insecticide, no dangerous chemicals, just bugs control! I’m trying to upload the video of our first night with this lamp, so you can see them swarming around the lamp. My husband thinks they’re actually termites as this must be termite’s season!

Works Great
Bought for inside my garage as the bugs and flies are horrible around our lights windows and into the house. So far works great, not too big and has a nice built in catch pan. Might have to empty it more than I would like but so far pleased and no regrets.

1000 Stars!
Wish I could give this thing 1000 stars. We live in South LA where the mosquitos are so big that they look like something out of a horror movie. Not to mention all of the other flying creatures that like to terrorize my family. This thing has exceeded expectations with catching all of the things! Down here in the south we also have these swarms of termites straight from the depths of hell around April-June every year. People have to black out their homes in order to avoid an indoor invasion (they come through creases of doors, windows, etc.) Last night was the first night of them and this is what it looked like the next morning. With none getting in my home 🙌🏼 I’ll be buying another one soon to hang on the other side of my porch!

It Really Works
I should feel bad but I believe this thing has single handedly reduce the bug population in Arizona. I use this nightly and it sounds like a thunderstorm. I can now enjoy evenings outside without the fear of being swarmed by bugs.
