Is this mice proof throughout the winter? I want to store my $3,000 pool cover.

No way. But, why would you store a $3000 pool cover in a plastic box???

Does it warp in the sun

I’m in the Arizona desert valley with 300+ sunny days p/year and temp’s known to reach 115°. My Keter just turned 2 y/o and looks as great as the day I assembled it (minus our incessant desert dust on the exterior, lol). It's exposed to full sun on our pool deck and not protected from weather at all. Keeps all of our pool towels dry, although we do use a carabiner as a lock during our monsoon season to ensure high winds keep the lid shut. I’m back here on Amazon to buy a 2nd one for the yard.

Is there a way to attach the box to the deck?

We would not recommend making holes into the box as you may have mold and bug issues in the future.

I know you can sit two people on it, but can you stand on it?

You can sit two people on the front edge only...look closely at the picture of the two people sitting on it and you will see what I mean. Standing in the middle of the top will “cave it” for sure. Except for the very edges, the top is somewhat thin and flimsy.
