The second was a glazed ceramic container that had a section for onions on the bottom and garlic on the top - it worked okay, however the bottom was too small for the onions which rotted quickly and the top was way too large for garlic which didn't keep very well either and overall that container was just too large on the counter (I feel like I sound like goldilocks). It's bigger than I expected, and I'd say it could hold 3 medium to small heads of garlic. I love the bit opening on top which allows you to put in or remove the garlic quite easily. I also like the looks of this cellar. I'm always careful with both my sugar container and this one as I'm sugar they would break easily if they were dropped...just like a flower pot, actually. I also choked at the fairly ridiculous price I paid for this....it really should have been half of what it was. Yet there I went and paid the silly price, which I guess encourages overpricing things. My sugar bowl was affordable 5 or 6 years ago when I got that one, probably fifteen or so. I had to take off one star for exorbitant pricing.
