Why is it not suitable for fizzy drinks?

As the photo is showing the door’s top I have my doubts. The sport’s top is very good but can leak a little if do not firmly push the spout down

No it’s series 1. Series 2 have handles I believe

How easy Is it to clean the sports cap properly?

The lids are dishwasher safe but it’s recommended to place them in hot soapy water.

am unable to remover the top to clean or fill- where am I going wrong thought it just unscrewed

The top should just unscrew so you can clean and fill the bottle. You should be able to turn it anti-clockwise until it comes off. It sounds like it’s just particularly tight so make sure the bottle is clean and dry on the outside and that your hands are clean and dry then try again?
