You can skip a day if needed and go right back to where you were and it does not make a difference. The whitening is a gradual thing, but I can tell you after a week to ten days, there is a big difference. I am 68 years old and have never had my teeth whitened. I did not realize they were as yellow as they were. When I asked my dentist and he DID recommend them, and said they were excellent without being bad for my teeth or gums, and told me to use them everyday for the full 22 days with no side effects. That was the case, no sensitivity or anything, just pretty white teeth. I can now pass the "tissue test".
