Review: A quality printer at a good price... - Through circumstances that existed at the time of buying this B305 mono all-in-one printer, I was able to buy it for about £105 rather than it's full price of £270, so it was a very good deal: 1. desertcart Warehouse offered one in good condition at a good discount 2. Xerox offered at £30 cashback I chose a mono printer because colour is so expensive and more complicated. I had a beautiful Epsom all-in-one which started to dump it's yellow toner everywhere, so decided to cut my losses and chuck it out. I did not want to buy a device that was tied to a clever manufacturer who insists on expensive toner and play funny games, I didn't want to use ink because of jets that can block if unused for a while, and I wanted a high quality image than ink provides. This Xerox also scans to PDF very quickly and is a pleasure to use. In fact there are a number of facilities that remain unexplored for the moment. Double-sided single-sheet scanning has been a little picky depending on the quality of the paper being scanned. But, RECOMMENDED.

There appears to be a fault on a circuit board - we hired a very clever technician to try and solve the wi-fi issue and he confirmed the problem. It is just out of the 30 days return window. Trying to contact Xerox to do something about a manufacturing fault of their making isn't easy. Supposedly an engineer is coming out to visit. Watch this space.

Great printer. Does exactly what it should. Quiet and fast. HOWEVER, the "starter" toner cartridge supplied with the printer stopped working within a few days of use with "32.40 unsupported cartridge" error message. Printer stopped working altogether. Not impressed hence the three stars.
