Stop searching. This is the one. Excellent sound quality. Great bass. Very loud if needed to be. Ascetics are top notch, looks great with SOLID and tough construction to-boot!Blue tooth capability, radio is a bit spotty (no external antenna) but it still works well.We bluetoothed it to our smart tv for college football and it was awesome! The sound fills the room. When playing music it is tail gate and party quality.The only thing that could use improvement is the microphone. It is not loud at all. That may be the cheap mic that’s included or the sound allowance on the unit itself. I’m not sure. I do not plan to use the mic much at all but if you do it’s something to consider.

So far impressed - sound reproduction is very good. Battery life (per charge) - 75 hours must be at low volume. I'm not complaining - 1 charge lasts way more than an evening! Bluetooth works with bluetooth CD player and the Pickup can switch the tracks also. The CD player I bought is a bit fussy to connect. Using an android phone (audio files) pairs instantly (or nearly so). Also pairs with IBM PC no hassle.I sort of wish it had an option to feed a separate woofer as the Pickup only has an 8 inch large speaker.(I'm a bass junkie) Nice that it includes a 12 volt car type charger cord. Also nice it has two USB charger ports. It is probably 25 lbs or so - not exactly light. It has wheels - look about 3-4 inches diameter. Wondering what kind of idea that was as rolling across a wooden deck or a yard or a beach - not going to work to well. it is advertised as "water resistant" - but I wouldn't leave it out in a rainstorm to see.Instructions are fairly sparse - but the Bluetooth pairing is accompanied with a voice assist from the box!Fit/finish is first class. Overall - very happy with the purchase.Battery is Lithium Ion and not "user replaceable" but - wonder how long it will last - guessing a Loooong time.

Battery failed the very first day I received the speaker when I plugged it in the battery read half full so I charged it completely before attempting to even pair a Bluetooth signal to it after it was fully charged approximately 30 minutes later it only played for 10 minutes Before it went completely dead so I tried charging it overnight and paired it again and it only played for 15 minutes before it completely died and shut off again. So disappointed I have friends who have had older models that worked great but new batteries are cheaper quality be better get the extra warranty which is basically paying for the replacement battery. I return this one I purchased for $250. The day after I purchased it ION has lost my trust. The enclosed information said to contact them (ion) if there is an issue so I did it was a fully automated maze that led me to entering the serial number for a replacement battery so I did and after I hit enter it went back to the initial screen to enter the serial number again. So I never got a response from ION’s website or Amazon so I returned it. The only option was UPS Which cost me $2.oo because I had to have UPS print the shipping label.

Good quality, very loud and durable I would recommend this for parties or outdoors activities.

I wanted/needed a speaker that was water proof for outside to have near swimming pool, hot tub, or under gazebo or covered pergola if any of us were sitting under if raining. I wanted it to have blue tooth for playing any songs from our phone or our blue tooth projector for out door movies(haven't tried pairing with projector yet) . I also wanted an fm radio for days I don't feel like listening to my play list and listen to the radio . this has all of what I was looking for and tried out when it showed up. the speaker was double boxed, had a bunch of styrofoam as protection and arrived with no damage. I plugged it in and the speaker was already fully charged, so I turned it on and hit the radio button. I only got 3 stations, but thats very normal for any radio I use . no buttons or doo dads to adjust treble /bass ect which I am more than ok with. you know ...what might sound good to me/you/someone else ....might sound like garbage to another. your not going to get the vibrations or the (for example) ... someone driving by with vehicle booming sound . its a good ole fashion over sized speaker like a boom box that doesn't have any adjustments to what your hearing other than the volume. the microphone... who cares, neither me ,my family, friends do karoke and thats not what I bought it for... didn't even bother taking it out of the bag and wish it was an option to leave out to save a few bucks. so can't give you a review of something that would never be used and not what I bought it for. I haven't tried the water restistence because its still winter here, I tried the light buttons and its cute, but since we don't party it probably won't be used much. the blue tooth option connected right up and stayed connected, but I really didn't walk away from it since I was just sitting on floor playing with my new toy. one thing that happened and made me think something was wrong, I had radio on and then connected to my phone to try the blue tooth and the song played but was extremely static.....then I had realized my phone was playing and I had forgotten to hit the radio button to turn it off. once I hit the radio button and turned that part off.....wala ! Phil Collins " in the air tonight" sounded clear and great ! I can't review battery life since I just got it , but I had volume up maybe halfway and my teen daughter upstairs yelled down to turn it down because she was doing home work and couldn't think hahahahaha. its not the best you could buy , but I wasn't looking for the best more like looking for specific things that would be specific to what I wanted and not the extra stuff that would just be a feature paid for but never used. nice touch to being able to plug phone in to charge, that will come in handy when out in the pool . I also like having wheels and a handle to roll it where I want. I don't like and didn't know until I got it, that this speaker cannot connect with another speaker with blue tooth if I ever bought another one and can only connect by a certain wire. I deducted a star for that reason . Editing : I’m glad we had this . High wind storm came through knocking trees onto power lines , streets roads and houses. Our house was fine but lost electric for a few hours. This thing was able to keep our phones charged and we were also able to listen to the radio giving info about everything around us . I couldn’t have ordered and gotten this at a better time. Got it and almost a week after receiving it a damaging wind storm hits.editing 8/15/23 we have used it over the summer and the sound is good, no problems losing the blue tooth or radio. it does still only give me 3 sometimes 4 stations but thats ok,we used it this past saturday at a state park in a big shelter for my daughters grad party. it was nice to have and later it did what I was hoping. we had a thunderstorm with blowing rain and the speaker got wet and it continued to play .

We set this up on our deck overlooking our pool and multiple acre backyard. I can hear the music ridiculously well while all the way in the back field!! We fully charged it when we first got it and we've used it for several hours nearly every night for the past 2 weeks and the battery indicator is just now showing 2 out of 4 bars. The battery life on this thing has blown my mind. We aren't using it on minimum volume either...we are jamming in the pool! I couldn't think of anything else I've bought in recent memory that I'd be more apt to tell someone else to buy. This thing is killer!*BONUS* the microphone that comes with it created an impromptu karaoke night for me, my wife, and my 3yr old girl and 5yr old boy. It was a huge hit for that before we ever took it outside to the pool! Highly recommend!
