LEGOStar Wars 75051 Jedi Scout Fighter Building Toy (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

I've gone a little overboard buying Lego Star Wars sets over the years, but this one is my favorite. Love the design, curves, colors, and details. Love the tilted wings looking like muscled arms. The ship isn't from classic Star Wars but from Yoda Chronicles flown by Jek, the bad-turned-good guy with a magic crystal arm. It comes with him (with a 2-sided head, normal and crazy face), an unnamed Ithorian Jedi, a gray protocol droid, and a generic blue astromech. The ship is medium sized, 13 1/2 inches long, 10 inches wide. Armaments include 2 lasers on the wings, 2 near the cockpit, a rotating turret on top, and 2 missiles that fire a good 6 feet. The cockpit detaches as an escape pod and fits 2 guys, one facing backwards. The middle is wide enough for the astromech to face forward. The back of the ship opens up to a little storage unit that holds 4 detonators, 2 lightsabers, and 2 containers for crystals. Because the back opens up, you do have to be careful not to accidentally open it when picking up the ship. The bottom is a large flat piece--wish they could have included landing gear. When the ship is in flight, you can swivel out the back 4 tail wings. The set is organized into 5 bags and was easy to follow. Came with 8 stickers. Ship is not super durable but pretty good--you can hold one wing and it's fine, but not the back engines--using 2 hands is best. Still, this is now my most beloved ship in my armada, highly recommended.

Awesome ship. Great minifigures. Easy build. Unique and rare style I hadn't seen in stores. Son loves this ship and Jak-14 is in some of the lego Star Wars cartoons. He is only found in this set and one other. Easy to play with and sturdy even for a five year old.

My padawan and I love this ship. The storage compartment and turret gun make quick work of the clanker fighters and can take the hits well. The builder made a great ship that we can spend hours on exploring and protecting the galaxy. Definitely one of the better sets to get. I actually prefer this to the new Xwing style ships that are all the rage these days...

Great fun set to build! The style and design reminded me of older classic LEGO space constructions sets. The set includes 3 minifigures, and an astro-mech droid.The build is very easy to follow. The instructions were crumpled up but I downloaded the instructions from LEGO and used my tablet as instructions. I highly recommend this method so you can zoom in on the smaller pieces to make sure you got them right. There are 5 sections to the build and each section has its own bag. This helps keep the building area neat and you can space the build over time so you don't get pulled in and build really fast. Once the build is done this set has some really nice play features and hidden compartments. I hope you enjoy building this set as much as I did. As the new movie comes out this one will fade away soon.

I watched a couple youtube reviews of this set and decided to get it! One complaint was that the wings were weak.... mine went together tight and held strong! So not entirely sure what the other reviewer was talking about. Love the "Hammer-Head" character! Have no plans on using him as a Jedi, going to give him a blaster and move him into my cantina set.

This is a amazing set… I am a advanced builder so it was like a 20 mi ute build but none the less will be good for what i will use it for

This is a very flexible kit that can easily be used to make all different sorts of models.The main model is a bit bulky to play with, but that only serves to inspire kids to take it apart and use their imagination to make new models, the range of figures and variety of pieces make this a must have for the young lego fan!

You know, I put off buying this set for a long time even though I like the design. I guess something about it just made me think it would be lackluster and it looks like it would be flimsy. How wrong I was! This set proved to be very fun and very sturdy. A great addition to add to your Star Wars fleet.
