If you apply too much, your hair will look like it has a lot of product in it. For a touch up, apply sparingly to your ends to make your hair less dry and frizzy. Or you can apply more with the intention of letting your hair absorb it. I apply the lotion to the bottom half of my hair before bed and then put it up in a bun. When I go to sleep, there is obviously product in my hair (more than I would go out with). But when I wake up my hair is softer and both feels and looks healthier. Love this lotion. Swear by it.

I love this stuff, it was exactly what I was looking for. I have very thick textured hair. It has gotten frizzier and I'm not willing to put gel or mousse in it. This controls this frizz.

It’s the consistency of watered down hand lotion, doesn't help with frizz much and I wouldn't waste my money on it. The Real Shea protein recharging leave-in treatment is 1,000 x’s better.
