Read me if you're on the fence
Ok, I need to show this cami some love because the 3.9 star average it has right now almost deterred me from purchasing and here's the funny part... I've been looking for these specific camis for.... EVER. A few years ago my mom bought a few of these in various sizes to try. She gave me the ones that didn't fit her and without paying attention to where they came from, I immediately loved them. I've been every size between 125lbs and my pregnancy weight which was... We'll just say it was significantly more than 125lbs. I often joke that I feel like a popped balloon. One thing has always been consistent though which is my chest. Even at my smallest, they're big. Add the weight fluctuations and my disdain for traditional bras and it's not easy finding an alternative. This particular cami is so flattering. I don't wear a bra with it and don't really need to since I just sized down. Now, keep in mind that they run a tad small but they're supposed to. I would only size up if you don't want something skin tight and though it's fitted, it isn't smothering. I'm the type that cannot do the weighted blanket thing because I feel like I can't breathe but this doesn't bother me. The imprinted tag eventually wore off of the ones my mom gave me, which were 2X and since I've lost weight, I wanted new ones. I will say after the few years of owning those, they were still holding up well and they're worn constantly as I feel naked without them now. To my dismay though, I couldn't figure out where the camis my mom got came from because the label was almost gone. So for the past several weeks I've been searching high and low, asking AI, taking pictures and analyzing shapewear trying to find them. My mom even said Shapermint sounded familiar but I kept passing it by because I'm a review snob and I convinced myself there was no way the cami I loved and wanted would have only garnered a 3.9 star review. Finally. I decided to read some of the reviews and had to laugh because one of the complaints I saw a few times was that this flattens your chest. So.. Does it? Eh... Sort of but for someone like me that's every reason to buy it. I don't think it makes me lose overall curves and shape, I just feel like it makes everything look better. I wouldn't call it extreme by any means. Had I just read the reviews more thoroughly in the first place, I would have saved a ton of time. Lesson learned...the thing some folks complained about was why I like it. I weigh 125ish and I'm 5'6...honestly... I have no clue what my official bra size is anymore... but let's just go with big enough to cause legitimate back pain. I bought a large and XL. The large looked too small but actually fits perfectly. I haven't tried the XL on yet but I'll edit this when I do. The 2X that I had before was loose on me now but still wearable which goes to show they're pretty flexible and will last with some weight fluctuations. I highly recommend these... I have never had roll up issues either and also love the version with the thinner straps.

Runs very small
Full disclosure: I'm 5'2", 145lbs, 38D bra. I had to return the Compression Tank Cami sz XL because it was so small I couldn't pull it over my head. I just received a replacement, sz XXXL and it barely fits, although it's comfortable, snug and very well made. I wanted it to wear under t-shirts and sweatshirts during the winter to keep my boobies warm.

Don't think it's as advertised.
Wouldn't even give it one star, but need a star to give a product review. Ok. So I am 76 yro, grew up in the bra-burning era, and basically feel all bras are devises meant to cause psychic and physical harm, BUT, you know, my boobs are just never going to be perky again and there are occasions where one would like to not look like the tit hanging hag at the end of the road, so I have been trying to find a compromise between comfort and some semblance of "normal." I play a lot of word, logic games (retired and it's too cold, icy to go out) so have seen countless Shapermint Ads. Alas, I succumbed to the repetitive ad bs. I AM SO Disappointed in this product. I measured and checked the sizing, bought the correct size, confirmed I received the right size, followed instructions to go feet first, and the thing was so tight I could barely bring it up. When I finally got the garment over my shoulders, I noticed that my boobs were flattened not lifted, and when I sat on the bed, the fabric over the hip area rolled up tight into a ring around my waist. Not comfortable. Perhaps if I bought a size 2 times larger it might work, but nah, I'm just going to return it and move on. BTW, I personally didn't like the fabric and I'm not sure how "cooling" it would be in summer.

Yep, size up!
I was pleasantly surprised at how well these tanks were constructed considering the price. I have worn them multiple times and I'm realllly impressed at how they stay in place. They are longer so they go down lower on the hips. Unlike other tanks I notice they don't roll up on the bottom as you move around throughout the day. I typically wear an XL which is what I ordered.. they are definitely compressed which makes it a little difficult to get back over your head to remove. I'll probably go up a size on the next order and see how those feel but I am enjoying these so far. The material is nice and thick and have held up in the wash very well.

Exactly what I needed and wanted!
This is a must have undergarment. I'm definitely getting more Shapermint products. Once I put this cami on... the trying on of outfits began (I personally wouldn't wear it without another garment over it). I own clothes that I haven't worn because they didn't look smooth. Now I can wear them with confidence. At 65, you become conscious of the back bra fat and other soft fatty areas. This has the perfect amount of compression that it actually feels good on. For reference I am 5' 9-10ish... I'm shrinking in height. Weigh about 175-180. Ordered XXL don't be discouraged by the size. It is tight to put on... it's suppose to be! Now what do i do with the sagging upper arms? 😄

It started off well…
I had no issues putting it on at all. I’m 5’3” 163 lbs and I went with a size Medium based on other reviews. I have absolutely NO butt and wide hips. The best way to put compression camis on is to step into them with your legs widened to the same width as your hips and pull it up. Then once you reach your rib cage, grab the straps and pull it up and tuck yourself all nicely in. It was comfy cozy, supportive, not cheaply made, and covered everything I wanted sucked in. It also made my girls perky with just a little scoop or 2 throughout the day. Now the downside….The dang thing kept rolling up. ALL. DAY. LONG. My coworkers kept asking me why I kept putting my hands down my slacks. It was so frustrating and distracting since I was adjusting it every 20 minutes.

Takes strength to pull up
High quality. I would size up a size or two. There is a reason you don’t see “senior citizen” models put this on. It takes strength to pull it up. I’m sure it will do the job but I just don’t have the strength in my arms to pull it up.

Didn’t work for me.
I bought this in an XXL and it was so tight so I returned it then I bought an XXXL and it was no better. It didn’t work for me. I’m a size 12 to 14. 65 year-old. My BMI is 27 so I’m not obese. I got some back fat rolls and a little stomach pooch and it did nothing but accentuate this. I think this is for younger people with loose skin as opposed to people with fat rolls. lol!!

Great vest to pull you in and help make you appear slimmer
Great top, I wear it under shirts and blouses for work. It’s a bit of a squeeze getting it on, but once on it seems to stay in place (no riding up). I would only wear under another top as it’s very tight and that can be seen. The material is a cotton mixed with Lycra. This makes it soft and comfortable to wear, but also just stretchy enough to put on and then pull me in. This gives good value for money as it acts in a similar way to other brands that pull you in but is a lot cheaper. I have worn this numerous times and also washed numerous times and it is still going strong. Therefore, I am happy with the purchase.

Good compression and great quality
I am giving this a 5 star because it's a good quality item. Buttery soft and the colour is great. However, I needed to size down. I am usually a L OR XL depending on the manufacturer but I went with the recommendation of sizing up and got 2XL. Should have gone with my gut. I am exchanging them a size smaller to get a better compression. Will update once the smaller size is delivered. Otherwise it's worth the money. It does what it suppose to. Flattens out back rolls and provides good tummy control.

Definitely recommended
I always hesitate to buy these things, never know what size to buy, never know if they’re gonna be comfortable. But I bought this one and I bought my regular size. Usually, I will buy a size smaller thinking it will make me feel smaller, but it doesn’t that’s when you run into the problem and it squeezes you too tight. Buy this and buy it irregular size and you’ll be very happy.!

Buy the next size up!
If you usually buy Shapermint cami scoop neck tops, make sure you buy the next size up for the tank tops. The item is good quality and pretty, just a little too tight!
