Awesome ReMastered Grunge Masterpiece
I usually prefer the o.g. copies of an artist but in a lot more case these days the newly remastered versions of these classics have much more depth to them , after comparing many , I have found that the older original 1st press copies sound thin compared to the new remastered vinyl , Just my opinion of course!

Vinyl Reissue. Bargain.
Original version better or not? I don't care that much. I was not happy for these remasters when word came out. Wich is why I did not buy the overpriced fanclub box set (vs-vitalogy).However, I was very much excited about finaly getting to own these great records on vinyl. There will always be someone comparing this with the 93 version. If you are willing to pay 100 bucks for a new one, then go ahead. Otherwise, this is the best way to go.From my first listen to this vinyl reissue:the bass pounds on the speakers. at the same time I could hear the crystal clear crisp of the cymbals. I gave my amp an 80% volume level (wich is very loud) and I was pleased. No uncomfortable distortions whatsoever.I still have to compare it to my old cd version. Will post my thoughts later on. One thing I do agree. These albums did not need any remastering in the first place. They have always sounded amazing. I'm only happy for the vinyl reissues, wich of course are also remastered. They are relatively cheap.EDIT: I have compared this vinyl to my old cd version. This vinyl kicks ass! Don't think twice. I have a cheap audiotechnica turntable. I can only imagine how it would sound on a better one. My amp and speakers are decent, though. Now, if you are able to spend ten time as much for the original pressing, then be my guest. This is the best way to go otherwise.

As expected
Alright this is my first time buying vinal on Amazon. I have been worried about itshipping safely, but took a risk and ordered an album I couldn't find locally. The album sounds just like it should and shipping was secure & safe.

superb sound and music
Recently I re-vamped some of my vinyl equipment and these kinds of albums make me glad I did. The sound quality is excellent: crisp guitars, smooth thunderous bass, sharp drum hits....really, for listeners who grew up in the vinyl era as I did, CDs were never going to sound this good. And this album is on 180-gram vinyl too, audiophile quality. For Pearl Jam fans who want a real treat, check out the two vinyl set of "Ten," in which one of the two albums is the album remixed by the producer; the songs, by now all familiar, sound great.I always liked Pearl Jam's ability to invest every song with a kind of narrative drama, something not many bands can do (the Who come to mind). This album reminded me that when they were hot, they were one of the finest bands out there. They are still productive, too, but there is no denying the power of their youth that this album broadcasts to the world.

Pressing roulette. Second time's a charm though.
This is my favorite PJ album...so many memories. Anyways, the record is great, but I had to send the first one back due to the pressing. The center hole was too small to fit the spindle, and the edges were jagged and sharp as a knife. Amazon was great with the return, and the second copy was better. Not perfect, but more than acceptable. Happy to have this LP in my collection.

All is well in the end
Got my copy delivered last week and was super excited as I love this album, but while listening I noticed the tempo was fluctuating. I also saw the needle and arm were swaying back and forth a bunch. I checked my turntable components, did some adjustments and cleaning with no change. I put on another album and it played perfectly. Finally figured out the center hole was not so centered and watching the edge of the album while turning, it was obvious the record wasn't centered properly. But with any manufacturing process there are always at least a few items that won't be perfect so I can forgive these things if the return/replace policy is good.Luckily the policy is good :). The replacement process was super easy via Amazon and my replacement copy of the album arrived just two days later and plays great. I knocked one star since there was an issue but overall I'm very happy with the purchase and how the issue was handled.
