best mochi from amazon that I've tried yet
I've been trying all kinds of mochi, and some were stale or too processed or too sweet. This is the first brand I've tried that I love unconditionally. Shipping was fast, and the mochi was delicious and fresh, not too sweet, obviously meant as a dessert but still with a touch of savoriness. The mochi itself was soft and pillowy, and the filling had little chunks of adzuki beans, but not little hard bits like I've had in other brands. It was perfect. A bit on the expensive side, sure, but worth it for a great experience. I definitely would like to order more. Hopefully they'll last.

NO longer vegan
Itโs a bummer that they recently changed the ingredients to non-vegan friendly (see pictures attached: it contains milk now). I enjoyed this as a child and fairly well into my time as a vegan. It is a pain to know that I no longer will be able to bite into one of these and reminisce sweet childhood memories. P.S. Before anyone comes for my throat for being vegan, I transitioned due to health reasons. I was on the brink of developing colon cancer at just 21 years of age. I was never picky in my life, but I believe it was all the inflammation caused by overly processed foods and dairy I consumed regularly. Despite being lactose intolerant, I ignored the signs my body gave me and continued eating dairy until I became bedridden one day due to the excruciating tummy pain. I know it wasnโt just dairy, but the point of all this is to show that I have my reasons for being vegan and it sucks that I wonโt be able to enjoy my favorite daifuku mochi anymore due to the change of non-vegan friendly ingredients.
