AQUA GUARD Pre-Swim Hair Defense, Prevents Chlorine Damage (2-Pack)

After using Aqua Guard throughout my vacation in Cabo, I can honestly say it exceeded my expectations. Between the saltwater, pool days, and constant sun exposure, I was fully expecting my hair to become dry, tangled, and difficult to manage. Instead, Aqua Guard created a protective barrier that helped keep my hair soft, smooth, and noticeably healthier. One of the biggest differences I noticed was how easy my hair was to brush after swimming. Normally, beach vacations leave my hair knotted and prone to breakage, but this time I experienced minimal tangling and far less damage. My hair retained its moisture, felt stronger, and looked much shinier throughout the trip. For anyone who spends time in the ocean or pool and wants to protect their hair from the harsh effects of chlorine and saltwater, Aqua Guard is definitely worth adding to your travel essentials. It made a noticeable difference in the overall health and manageability of my hair, and I’ll be taking it on every beach vacation from now on.

My kids have been using Aqua Guard before their daily swim practice, and it really helps protect their hair from swimming pool chemiclas. It’s easy to apply, not greasy, and has a light, pleasant scent. Their hair are soft and smooth, less tangling and less hair shedding after pool days. This is a must-have if your kids swim regularly.

Useful Update for athletic swimmers: after running out of this product, I decided to try regular hair conditioner as recommended by someone on social, but I immediately realized the superiority of this product. First, conditioner makes the swimming cap slide off, this one does not. Also, it has UV protection which conditioner does not. Lastly, after 3+ years of using, can confirm its value—the two-pack lasts several months, and I have long hair. I have very fine hair and swim 4+ times a week, and this product is fantastic—totally worth the money. I had previously been using coconut oil to protect my hair which was adequate, but this product is much less messy to apply and much easier to wash out. It also does an amazing job of protecting your hair, because my hair is completely back to its natural softness after washing and conditioning, which I can’t say for the coconut oil. I’m not a huge fan of the scent, but it is at least pleasant and doesn’t linger after washing. I’m also not too worried about how my hair smells at the pool, so that’s definitely not a deal breaker. Overall, totally worth the price and definitely does what it claims. (P.S. I do dampen my hair first before applying, as was recommended by another reviewer who is a stylist.)

When applied to hair before swimming, and assuming a shower right after getting out of the pool, this product genuinely cuts down on both the chlorine smell and the dry texture that hair often gets after swimming, as compared with taking a shower but not using the product before hand. I gave it 4 stars rather than 5 for a few reasons. First, I found that it takes a LOT of product to really coat hair before swimming. (I do have long hair, but even so, I was surprised by how much it soaked up.) Second, while it smells just fine, a sort of normal shampoo or hair care kind of smell, I didn't love what it smelled like. Third, while it seriously reduces the effects of chlorine, I didn't find that it totally eliminated them. Nonetheless, it does work. It's a good product if that's what you're looking for.

Works okay. It weighs your hair down and makes your hair quite flat so if you're planning to use this, just know you'll need to physically wash this off with shampoo to get it out of your hair. Not sure how well it works long term, but it definitely helps with not letting chlorine ruin my hair after a swim.

Si miráis la reseña que tengo del champú de esta misma casa veréis que me soluionó el problema con el pelo que se le quedaba como estropajo a mi hija del cloro, pero a mayores dándole ésto antes de meterse en la piscina ha sido una pasada, salía con el pelo perfectamente nutrido y nada estropajoso como otras veces, luego lavar con el champú de la misma marca y magia... Estoy en espera del acondicionador que me llega hoy, ya evaluaré, pero al menos para mí estos dos productos han sido casi milagrosos. En cuanto a cantidad le eché bastante pero porque mi hija tiene muchísimo pelo, pero se reparte bien y cunde si lo peinas y lo extiendes por todo el pelo. A la larga si calculo todas las veces que le tenía que echar antes champú y acondicinador en un mismo lavado para que encima se le siguiese quedando como estropajo, me sale hasta barato. Merece la pena comprar este pack que vienen dos porque sale mucho más económico.

Wife like this product and this is the second purchase. However it was packed in a soft plastic packaging with no protection that damaged the tube and caused the product to leak all over the packaging.

i read the reviews and made a lot of research, i think you get the value for what you pay, my hair was suffering due to pool chlorine water and i swim frequently. This product does protect the hair but to a certain extent i guess, i have tried a better product but for 3 times the price of Aquaguard and lesser quantity. This is a good balance of quality, value and protection for the hair. P.S: i wet my hair before applying and i use a cap on top.
