They do have a small heam at the bottom. They do need some weights in them somewhere. Mine blow around a lot during the day when trying to block sun from porch.

The curtains are a true measurement size if you lay them flat, they are the exact measurement that the package states.

I would definitely use a support. The curtains are of a heavier material.
