My stock hanger rod had rotted off its welded location from my muffler, then decided to buy this 90 degree hanger rod and had it bent once more into a "U" shape to fit accordingly to where I wanted it clamped onto my muffler end to where the old weld was, had to improvise my DIY skills since I don't have a welder and used 3 specialty clamps onto the rod and under the old weld spot to hold it in place and used blue thread lock to resist unscrewing itself off. To my surprise it feels very sturdy now and feels part of the muffler now by being in place. Just my experience in hoping not to replace a still working muffler, hope this helps.

If you have a Wonder this will make the job easier when installing a exhaust or muffler easy to install works very good and they fit perfect you just need the grommet
