Can anyone tell me if 12 vanilla beans will be enough for one 1.75 liter bottle of vodka to make vanilla?

By FDA standards “Pure extract” is 100g of vanilla beans for 1 liter of alcohol. 12 Grade A Gourmet Madagascar vanilla beans weighs between 45 - 50g. So 1.75 liter is way too much for 12 beans. Use about 0.6 liter for high quality extraction

I just purchased these Madagascar vanilla beans to make my own extract since these are already pre-soaked in bourbon can I still use them

The beans are NOT pre-soaked. No vanilla beans is pre-soaked in alcohol. The “Bourbon” in the title is referencing the curing system used to condition the beans and the source. It has nothing to do with the alcohol bourbon. Madagascar and Bourbon (French Reunion) are small islands in the pacific and they use a very unique labor-intensive conditioning and curing process with a characteristic strong aroma. What’s the best way to store unused beans?

Vacuum seal them and store store in a cool dry place like your kitchen cabinets or pantry. Don’t refrigerate. If you don’t have a vacuum sealer, store in a ziplock bag or mason jar. But bear in mind that they will dry up with time if it’s not vacuum sealed. Best FITNCLEAN VANILLA

Approximately how many beans are in one ounce?

It all depends on the size of the bean pods. For 6-7" full-size bean pods it's possibly going to be between 8-10 pods, give or take. If they are a bit skinny or short (~5.5"), then maybe about 12.
