Perfect for high-end electronics
I wanted a true inverter UPS for my home theatre equipment as I am about to have a whole-home generator installed, and wanted to make sure that the UPS was capable of providing clean power to the equipment. After reviewing products from several companies, I realized this model from CyberPower was going to give me the best features at the best price. This unit is typically designed to be rack mounted, but i have mine sitting on the bottom shelf of the table that holds my AVR and other associated electronics. Some have indicated that the fans on this unit are loud, but I have not found them noticeable at all except when it is totally quiet in the house, and even then, the fan noise is barely noticeable. While this type of UPS is much more expensive than others with similar capacity, it is a fraction of the cost of the equipment connected to the device. Highly recommended.

Great but almost was a disaster!
I received the OL1500RTXL2UN unit today and while assembling the rails onto the side of the UPS, I noticed I heard what sounded like a screw moving around inside the device. That's not a good thing to have around electricity, so I opened up the front panel and removed the battery and shook out the screw. The battery is usually held in by 6 screws, but only 5 were in the chassis when I removed the battery. Low and behold, the screw on the inside of the unit was the missing 6th screw. Given it was rattling around on the control board, it could have been a very dangerous situation had I not noticed the sound of that screw. The UPS itself is working great. I think it's an excellent value for the price, however you need to double and triple check that there isn't the same failure in yours as in mine.

Works great, as expected
My only issue I had was the set of screws that came with my unit were completely wrong. The counts were so far off, that I ended up misplacing some of the screws during installation (going off count of the screws to figure out which were which). Amazon took care of me, and I ended up getting some replacements from CyberPower (after a few email exchanges and another pair being sent to me prior to the correct set). Was a little bit of a hassle, but it was all taken care of in the end without issues.

Real Power
Seems to be working great. The fans are loud but it has a room it only shares with the freezer.

Poor quality > not recomended
Long term review. NIC failed (well known hardware component failures), replacement cost is way overpriced for this type of hardware NIC, poor quality & no support. Diagnostic self test fails to run. Front panel Reports 16mins runtime at ~50% load, battery status 100%. External Power outage > ups switches to battery > then immediately shuts down. Not recommended.
