Definitely firmer than most stress balls. The material is just right - not tough material where it is difficult to squeeze.

Is the word on the ball easy to peel off?

Not at all. I already bought it twice. NO color loss when squeeze it. I can even put those balls under the water and rub, no color peel off.

How big are these hand exercise balls?

Fits in palm of hand. Suitable size for kids and adults.

Do these roll and bounce well? I am looking for a safe alternative to billiard balls on a pool table. The kids throw them around and it's dangerous.

They do not have a great bouncing effect, but are beneficial for releasing stress.
