Is this authentic product? Should be perfectly clear, tacky but not sticky. Not loose enough to ooze out. People are shady…

I haven’t had any issues with the bottle oozing out the product. It’s super clear in color and easy to wash off your hands and hair. The hold is really strong too for the brand.

Does it flake? Easy to wash out daily? does it have a scent?

It doesn't flake or have a scent. As far as washing out easy it does with shampoo, however if just lightly wet hair you can restyle it. You only need a drop of got to be glue to much give you a stiff and greasy look.

How does this compare to joico ice spiker? that product was great but unfortunately has been discontinued. looking for an extremely strong hold.

This one is not comparable to ice spiker from Joico as unlike the name of the black bottle implies it is actually a gel not a hair glue (the company that owns got2b bought Joico and stopped production of the superior ice spiker) unfortunately the yellow bottle is the closest you will get … it’s decent but not great like Joico’s product.

can this be used with a curling iron?

I would not recommend using this with a curling iron. Gel typically is not meant to be used with hair equipment that involve heat. I would look for products specifically made to endure heat. These products usually come in a spray form.
