I can't explain how excellent this is! Built like a tank! Accurate! Waterproof! Slide Lock screw! Enough batteries to last a lifetime! Case with screw driver! If you aren't sure trust this redneck and buy this caliper!! Unusually high quality for a great price! Smooth! Works perfectly! Easy to use! Large visible display! You will never need another! Sleek thin profile!

Accurate and working after months
This review is for the 6" or 150mm size of these calipers. I would recommend this digital caliper if you need to measure inside, outside or depth up to 150mm. 1. It comes on when you move it and does not seem to need to be zeroed. 2. It comes with batteries in it and extras. I only use it occasionally, mostly to measure items I want to engrave so that I can accurately size traces or tool path limits. 3. It is accurate to my ability to verify. I have some metric steel rulers that seem very accurate. When I extend the caliper to 150mm and compare it to the steel rule, it is right on the ruled mark. 4. It handles well. The thumb roller that allows you to make fine adjustments handles well, as does the twist locks. Like most digital devices, you can set the caliper at a distance, zero it there, measure something else and it will give you a difference, in case you never learned to subtract. This requires that you close the calipers and zero them to be sure of accuracy. The fractional inch mode is of little use. It reads the fractions in 128ths, and cannot be instructed to round to, say, 32nds. I have little intuitive feel for, for example, what 57/128ths" is, except it is more than a quarter, less than a half. 11.78 mm or 0.448": either of those will give me a better feel for the measurement. Since 63/128" is close to 1/2" and it never seems that you hit that easy fraction when you measure, in my experience I'm going to find that the fractional inch mode is just confusing. It is just an extra button push to skip it. Compared to the quality/cost ratio, the fact that they do all the other stuff they say, well, these are still a 5 star buy for me. The only thing I might go for is bigger numbers or a connected app. The cheap blown plastic case has been snapped open and closed 100 times ans shows no sign of failure. There is no extra room in the case.

Mechanical engineer says Solid tool with all the features at great price
Solid, clean, all the features I wanted at a great price. Pro's: + Stainless and clean + Feels very solid in the hand, slides smoothly (just right-- not loose, not too tight) + Dimensions of the pointy parts for outer, inner, and depth are all basically industry standard size/shape, not wacky or cheap; pointy-points are sharp, edges crisp + Measurements seem accurate enough (disclaimer: I would never know without ASTM gauges) + Includes hard plastic case, assembled battery (ready to use), + 2 spare batteries + LCD readout is very easy to see for the large font digits (though the small digits are a bit too small, see below) + Automatically turns on when you slide it. This causes me to doubt and re-check Zeroing, but for taking sporadic measurements it's nice to not need to keep turning it on. (Turns off after few mins of non-use, so battery waste isn't a concern.) + IP54 waterproof/dustproof is a plus, I didn't need but nice-to-have + Excellent low price for the perceived high quality Con's: - LCD display font kinda small on the decimals, not "hard to read" but harder versus the larger digits (note this is exactly as seen in product illustration, so that's on me) -- In inches decimal mode, only the whole number and 10ths are large, the _._xxx (x's) are small. -- In millimeters, only the whole number is large, all decimals are small. - It's kinda heavy - Apparently "IP54" is a waterproof/dustproof standard, probably the reason for heavier material (seals, etc); Nice that it's waterproof so I guess weight is a fair trade-off. - In inches fractions mode, it measures to 1/128th resolution; wish I could toggle this down to show nearest 64ths, 32nds, or 16ths. Overall: I was a tire engineer for 10 years "back in the day", used really expensive ones regularly. Though I can't prove measurement accuracy, this tool has all the features I'd expect from expensive ones.

Worth the price
If you’re looking for a caliper this is priced right and it’s water proof, stainless steel. It got me out of a jam once a it paid for it’s self.

Better than expected
I purchased the IP54 version (has weather sealing), as I plan on having this last and pricewise wasn't all that much different than normal. I also wanted a metal version, plastic has some give and take and I've seen a broken plastic one in the office (perhaps dropped or twisted). The stainless IP54 version comes with the unit with weather sealing, the large display, a case, 3 batteries (1 inside + 2 extra), and manual. I did not need to read the manual, the buttons are pretty intuitive (mm/in/frac, set to 0, and on/off). It turns on automatically when you use it, which is nice. The arms are spot on parallel with each other, which means when you close it you don't see an air gap at the tip or base so you can measure something anywhere along the entire length and not worry that measuring something at the base will be a different measurement than at the tip. It's also sturdy, if you pinch the arms on something and then crank down the difference is typically 0.01mm between cranking down vs firm. Accuracy is also spot on as I compare it to things I know exactly the size. The display is easy to read. I'm glad it comes with a case, though it is the 1 piece kind of case that depends on shaped plastic snaps with thinned plastic as the hinge. If abused slightly, it's the kind the snap will wear and no longer hold OR the thin plastic for the hinge will tear. Basically, when opening/closing the case it's the kind you have to be very, very delicate or it will no longer snap or the snap will tear off. I just wish I could set the fractions, as I only need to deal with 16ths this is accurate to 128. So, if looking for 3/8 it will show 45/128 then 23/64, etc. but great product.

Solid, at first inspection a high-quality and seemingly accurate tool
Long chose a digital caliper. I saw the reviews, and read the comments. Finally chose this one. Here it came to me. Well-examined it, turned on, and made some measurements. Pleased with the external quality so far. The tool seems heavy in the hands and that is, solid. It is written here that it is stainless, hardened. So, it turns out that it is hardened steel. If this is true, then the device should last a long time. Although the most important thing is that it would retain its accuracy for a long time. This text cannot be considered a full-fledged even short review, because what is important is what the device will be like after a year or more of use. Hope the batteries don't die too soon. It's nice that the branded box contained two new CR2032 batteries. By the way, I note that the display readability may not be as convenient as I suspect it would be on the "Large LCD" variant. Although I thought about it before buying and still preferred the IP54-rated device (protected from water spray from any direction, protected from limited dust ingress).
