Best protein that I have ever used. I read all of the reviews and was excited to get the product. I am 10 years out from my bypass and could not stomach the 'usual' protein powder that we all drink so I stopped drinking them years ago. I was ok until recently when I got my blood work up and it showed low blood protein. I have also felt the symptoms of that. I want to say that this protein dissolves better than others, however, does have a bit of a grit. Does not taste bad, a small alteration in the beverage you mix it with. Dissolves quickly in hot drinks, however, with cold, let it sit for a few minutes and stir it a few times, however, it really is great no matter what. So far I am not constipated which is a problem with most protein I first used years ago. As a bypass patient I am supposed to use 'pre-digested' protein so that there is no constipation. So far so good. I have been using it for 4 days, 3 times a day, plus my normal eating. I feel better, I am not as bloated. I would highly suggest this. It is expensive, not sure about the science behind it because I can only get info from the company itself. However, I read about the protein and that one type is absorbed in the gut and the other in the intestine. With a bypass patient, we do not absorb well in the intestine. I bought this protein because they have 'supposedly' altered it so that the protein that is normally digested in the intestine through a break down process as it travels there, is now already done and can be digested in the gut. If this is correct, than this is great for bypass patients because 'supposedly' we will absorb more. Hope this helps. Seriously, the best protein I have ever used. Wish is cost less:)

I have not tried the new formula, I have used the old one daily for years. I’m not into worrying about the rumors- ensure you use the amt on package (if it says 2 scoops, then use 2).There is no other protein powder that mixes as well, has no flavor, stays blended (none of that “drink it fast before it turns to sludge” like other brands) and takes so little to get 30 grams protein. It absorbs well, too.A few tips:- I use a wire whisk to stir most of the, works great.- If you drink this in super hot coffee/warm drinks, it may not mix as well. Hot is fine (like 130-140) but not boiling.- read the package (as I said above) so you’re getting the right dose.Happy proteining!

This powder is excellent! We use it in food for my 90 year old mom. It mixes in very smoothly with cool/cold liquids. She eats it regularly in her cold cereal. For hot breakfast cereal, we mix it with the milk she pours over top. I tried it first to make sure it was palatable, and was amazed at no grit, no change in milk flavor. Highly recommended!

Taste: no it is not truly tasteless. If it was, you would not be able to taste it in water. It has a very mild milky taste that does transfer into various juices, even OJ, which I was surprised by. I cannot detect it in soups, pudding, fruit smoothies, etc. I didn't mind the added milk flavor in some juices but I could see how others wouldn't like it.Mixing: love how easily it mixes! it dissolves fully within 10 shakes in my lidded cup. I did try to dissolve it in some very hot soup and that was a big mistake. Clumped up bad into what looked and felt like styrofoam pieces. My recommendation is to dissolve it in a little bit of room temp liqiud first and then add that to hot liquidsDigestibility: I have had no problems with this powder, unlike all others I have tried. Probably a combination of no sweeteners and smaller whey amount per servingOverall: I really like this product. It's a little pricey but I can find deals here on Amazon and it works best for me so I am willing to spend a little more

I recently had to add protein powders to my diet. The problem is, the taste of most of them turns my stomach. Someone told me about Genepro so I decided to give it a try. It has made my life so much easier! I mix a scoop in my coffee in the morning and I am good to go.Cons:Not completely flavorless. To get around the little bit of flavor there is, mix it in something that has a little stronger flavor like coffee, good broth, yogurt, etc.Does not dissolve well in hot liquids. I always dissolve it in a tablespoon or two of lukewarm water before adding it to other liquids.The bag does not re-seal! It's a zipper type bag, but even if you get it to zip closed, it pops open very easily. I keep mine in a Fido type jar or a small coffee can if I need to take it with me somewhere.Expensive!Pros:Mostly flavorless. Yeah, this is the opposite of my first con. While it is not COMPLETELY flavorless, it is flavorless enough to be usable for people who dislike flavored protein drinks/powders.Unsweetened. Most flavored protein powders have the addition of sweetener of some sort. This does not.Lower calorie, higher protein. Genepro has under 60 calories per scoop but still has 30g protein in that scoop. The other brand has 100 calories and only 25g protein in their (much larger!) scoop.Small scoop. The scoop size is about 1/4 the size of the other unflavored powder on the market. That makes it easier to mix in.Works on most clear liquid diets. Check with your doctor just in case, but this powder is approved on many clear liquid diets and the addition of protein like this makes a clear liquid diet much more tolerable.

When the package containing five sealed containers arrived shortly after contacting the seller, I was skeptical about the quality of the product. My skepticism was quickly resolved when I opened the seal on one container, fished around for the scoop, and added it to cold 2% milk. It dissolved instantly. While not tasteless and having the mild taste of whey protein, it did not overpower the taste of milk. I was disappointed about the amount of protein in a serving size, but I still believe that the value is worth the price.
