Maybe I’m expecting too much from scales at this price point, but they are simply inaccurate. I use them for baking, and sometimes even 1 gram really matters. When I need to weigh 25 grams of butter, the scale can be very inconsistent, showing different results each time. The same happens with yeast: you can keep adding it and the display stays at 0 for a long time, and then suddenly jumps to 4 grams. The problem appears exactly when you need precise measurements and are adding ingredients gram by gram. If you only need an approximate result (± a few grams), the scale works fine, but for accurate weighing it’s unreliable. On top of that, the surface scratches very easily - I was using it for a week only and it is already scratched.

My starter is a year and half old. I was using measuring cups. The bread as the starter ages doesn’t work with this method. Got the scale and my loaves are constantly coming out perfect! It’s user friendly. I use a large plastic sour cream container and transfer ingredients to mixing bowl. The scale remembers the tare weight keeping it simple saving time. It’s definitely a great value for the price. The small size is perfect for keeping all my bread gadgets together. Happy baking.
