Brought to clean the slugs out of my engine cleaning hot tank. Yum Yum a fun job

I know that stainless steel can actually stain and look like rust. It’s impurities on the surface and not actually the steel that’s rusting. The rust will easily wipe away. The cap on this handle does wipe off telling me there’s another metal here. Maybe something in the handle? My other complaint is the handle is only tack welded on to the scoop which allows liquids to enter the handle. This item isn’t easy to clean since you can’t get stuff out of the handle. The last picture shows a stainless steel mixing paddle with a completely sealed end cap. That’s how this product should have been made. I’m sure it’s good for dry goods, just not liquids, let alone ice that needs to be remain clean.

Measurements are for the back, top of the scoop where it rounds out. The measurements for the flat base are more like 4.5 inches at it's widest part, and 3 inches at the opening. It holds roughly 22 fl. oz. I haven't tried it yet, but it doesn't feel very sturdy. I am afraid it won't hold up in the long-term. Hope this helps.

Seems reasonable quality, although it's made from very thin gauge ss.

Although this product serves its purpose quite well, please be aware that when washing this item, that the edges on the top of the scoop are not well polished and I cut myself on the sharp steel. Otherwise, the product is functional as long as you exercise caution when washing...cheers.
