This kit makes it easy to clean my trumpet and provides all necessary instructions to do so within one to two hours. The valve oil and slide grease work well and revived my trumpet after months of cleaning neglect. The various brushes that come with the kit worked surprisingly well, with the smallest one acting as a useful on-the-go mouthpiece cleaner.

I bought this kit for a old trumpet ive not played in many years. The thing that caught my eye about this product isn't necessarily the pricing or what it came with but the fun nature of this brand they bring to their product line. So, it's nice to see some humor and care made here that their advertisements, product catalog page, and product itself brings. Now, for the product(s) inside itself, here is my review: The grease is just the right amount for a horn player and should last a good bit. The bottle of lube oil is a nice portion vs what i had prior. The oil itself instantly helped with some sticking on my 2nd key but I ended up lubing all my valves and no issues. It did not seem to take much to coat and it didn't have a weird or bad smell. The provided cleaning brushes are good and used them all to clean my horn - its really needed it. The snake brush is obviously going to clean most of the horn interior and the flexible nature of it was good. So, the other items were the pencil, the microfiber, and the Trump Key chart plus the cleaning chart. The cleaning chart/ledger was very well done - for an experience horn player, we should know all the steps but definitely for a kid this is a easy read. The included chart to show the keys tied to each note is also a nice add for those that are just starting out. Lastly, the price of this cleaning kit was great for everything you get vs having to purchase each piece seperately. They have a lot of others selling similar products but this is a USA based brand, veteran owned, and they definitely got a sense of humor.

Very nice kit!

I bought this two years ago and it is still going strong. This kit has a lot of personality but also, everything you need to get your trumpet up and running again after storage. It is small enough for me to shove in the zipper pouch on the side of my case. The whammy is good quality and they give you a good amount of valve oil and grease.

I love Monster Oil products. The first time I used them was after being given a smaller cleaning kit by my college trumpet professor. The EcoPro oil wasn’t shown in the picture of the product, but that is what came in the mail with it. I can firmly say this is the BEST oil I’ve ever used and I’m so pleased that I have more of it through this cleaning kit. The snake that is included in this kit is much more flexible- and therefore better- at getting through the horn than other snakes that use plastic coating. The kit also came with some wonderful resources that would serve young musicians well (fingering chart, cleaning instructions, etc.). As a trumpet player and a future music educator, I can say that I have no doubt that I will stick with Monster Oil lubricants and cleaning supplies for many, many years.

This kit had everything specialized that I needed to clean my trumpet. I highly recommend it, as a trumpet that had everything about it stuck is now playing smoothly. The brushes, slide grease, and valve oil are all of good quality, and I have everything I need to continue to maintain this horn. Now, to the backstory! I played trumpet years ago, and now want to pick it back up. Trouble is, I sold the trumpet I had. A family we know is lending me one their son now does not use for as long as I want it, but it had not been touched in years. Everything was stuck. So I bought this. I used some YouTube recommended methods to unstick slides, and got to work. The step by step instructions are very clear and mildly entertaining, while being easy to follow. All the brushes worked well, and I even had fun in the process! The long flexible brush did not fit around the tightest bends in the first, second, and third slides, but after looking while cleaning the second slide, it cleans that tight bend well without going around it. The brush does manage to get around the tuning slide and other large bend in the horn. It fit and worked well. The valve casing and valve/mouthpiece brush fit just right and were easy to use. The slide grease and valve oil was easy to apply and both are nice and smooth. I now have plenty of both to continue to maintain the horn as well. I added the use of a toothbrush to clean some corrosion on the bottom valve casing caps, and off the tuning slide. But the horn I was cleaning was neglected. You may not need to go as detailed as I did. I also used some paper towels for wiping off excess slide grease. It plays so smoothly now. This kit gave it new life! I highly recommend it. They recommend cleaning everything in the bathtub. That's why you get to see my bathroom. Isn't that exposed brick nice? I think so. And yes, I have a toilet in the bathroom with the bathtub. Don't you? Again, I just can't get over that exposed brick! Such a nice accent! Note: brick does not come with the Monster trumpet cleaning kit.

I purchased this product for my Mendini by Cecilio MTT-N Trumpet, Silver, Bb . I am really impressed with this trumpet care kit---its fun personality and information, including the fingering chart. The package contained all the items as described. When you first receive it, the kit really makes you want to stop everything and clean the horn just so you can use all the cool tools and clever directions. Kudos to whomever wrote these! The red polishing cloth is a useful size, and apparently, the monster pictured on it is called "Lubie." Hahhahaha! The slide grease is good quality and thankfully does NOT have an unpleasant odor; it is actually a barely there scent. The silky value oil has a little odor, but not overpowering. Monster Oil is definitely the right medicine for my sticking valves. One bottle will last me awhile I think. [Of course, I do not have a high end instrument at the moment, but I'm going to give that trumpet first class treatment while I practice with my modest goals. :) ] Back to the Monster product and to the real reason I ordered this package: cleaning brushes, which I did not have for my instrument. These brushes are strong, yet flexible. The snake brush I receive has a black surface over the wire--like the shown on the kit's Amazon page. This I assume is to protect from metal-on-metal scratches. When clean up is over, everything fits back nicely in the plastic bag for storage, so one can keep the kit together for future use. And yes, my kit included a little monster. I was expecting a yellow one like displayed on Amazon, but I received a purple one, which for me was the biggest best surprise. A thrill! (I love purple.) With adult supervision and some guidance, an elementary band student could follow these cleaning instructions, but I agree with another reviewer who said to place a soft towel in the tub and put the trumpet's parts on it to avoid scratching the instrument while washing/swabbing. (That was actually good common sense advice I needed!) I'm pleased with the product and happy with the purchase. I'm including three photos so you can see the kit I received...including my own personal Lubie monster.

Great kit!! I just acquired a mismanaged trumpet with stuck valved and sliders. Managed to have it cleaned up, oiled and greased, it now works like a charm. Thanks
