GREAT Product!!!!
The media could not be loaded. It was pretty easy to set up, I only had one question and when I called the gentleman talked me through it in less than 5 minutes. It took my chickens a few times of getting trapped out in tje run after sunset at first to get the hang of it. (I was never too long or too far) There are several options to set it on. One of the best purchases I made for my coop! Highly recommend it!

Works great
Five stars for the solar kit but only four stars for the door (see separate review) because the seller has yet to provide the code for upgrading to GPS, something we paid $50 nearly three weeks ago. And there are no installation instructions; there are instructions called installation instructions, but they are setup and operating instructions. Otherwise, it's awesome and works as promised. It could not be more convenient.

You don't HAVE to have this, you can use batteries
I thought I HAD to have this or the plug adapter for my coop door to even work. I missed that the coop door has a battery compartment. So, this was a waste of $$ for me. However, now I have it, so I'll use it. Appears to be working, every once in awhile I see a little light flash. I've have my door since early May and it hasn't failed me yet. However, I have batteries in it. Sometimes the hens will manage to unplug the cord running down to the door. I ended up using some duck tape to stick it to the wall where they won't peck at it.

Didn’t recharge.
Don’t be fooled. It does not work! I am updating my review because the batteries died again. Clearly the door works only on battery. Do not buy the solar charger. We get nothing but sun here in California. The battery on the door last several months so just use that. Don’t waste your money on this portion of the door. This is the original review. If I had written a review within the first couple months, it would’ve been five. Really really awesome and convenient. However, I went out the other night and the door was up. And I realized it had run out of battery. It should not be using the batteries because we get plenty of sun for any solar panel. Scary that I almost didn’t notice the door was up for the night. We lose chickens every night the door is up.

Misleading "sold with" item
Unfortunately this item does not work with the chicken coop door I ordered. It was recommended as a purchase with item and isn't compatible. I have also missed my window to return- mainly because it took us this long to get it installed and figure out it doesn't work. So, I would not recommend purchasing with the auto cook door. Very disappointed

Does not work with coop doors as described
Described to work with almost any automatic coop door, it turned out that does not. I tried to return the unit back, but product is no more available..!!!! Made in China where else ?????
