Do the new chains rust?

Mine don't rust. Do you keep your cage cleaned and wiped down monthly? I put my birds on their toy cage weekly and roll their big cages out to the back patio and spray them down and clean them with dawn dish washing liquid and a kitchen scratch pad, then shammy dry them. Do you do that at least? Start if you don't.
