Solid option for this Olympus M-Zuiko lens
This is a solid, metal lens hood, totally compatible with the lens in question and much cheaper than the overpriced Olympus version. I’ve had no problems with it so far.

FITS LIKE A GLOVE, PERFECT BLACK FINISH, HEAVY ALUMINUM
Fits perfectly on the Olympus 75mm f1.8 prime lens. ID of hood matches OD of lens nicely, 1/4 turn of thumb screw is all it takes to tighten or loosen. I expected cheap thin gage aluminum. NOT!, It's nice and heavenly, no seams, beautiful finish. Its a hood for cryin' out loud!!! Why pay Olympus more than twice as much for something they should have given you with the lens! ($29 vs $62) LOVE IT.

Perfect fit
The lens hood was a perfect for my Olympus 75mm f/1.8 lens. The lens hood is metal from what I can tell. Seems quite solid. When cinched down I can attach and detach the lens from the camera by grabbing the lens hood. Overall I like it.

Solid metal, quality build, nice finish. Fits perfectly. For the cost of the lens, Olympus should have included a hood. But they didn't. So grab this instead over the overpriced Oly original.

Does exactly what it's to, but...
First, no complaints at all about this hood. It does exactly what it's supposed to, is well made, and less expensive. But it's almost impossible to get the lens cap off. Fix this problem, and find a way to reverse the hood for storage, and it's perfect.
