Was worried after reading reviews of all brands of food grade oils. It was like buying from a minefield. I chose this one as it was described as mineral grade with no smell or sticky residue and easy to apply. It was very easy to apply with a cloth and had no smell whatsoever and was not sticky at all. I gave it 6 hours in between applications to give it time to soak in. It brought the wood up lovely. The next day you could see a tiny bit of residue on your fingers if you touched it but definitely nit sticky or greasy. After a full 24 hours it was all good m. Would definitely buy again but a little goes a long way

This is the second bottle of Mineral Oil that I’ve bought for wooden kitchen utensils & a few other wooden pieces & a little really goes a long way, your woods treated after application look fantastic & it’s working unseen wonders for the wood like lack of bowing/warping, stopping unwanted colour absorption, keeping the wood moist presenting splits cracks & splinters & most importantly repelling liquids! Now I’ve found that application of this oil is best to do with a latex glove on as that doesn’t absorb the oil at all like all cloths do, even your bare hands absorb the oils to a degree, simply try applying the product straight onto the wood in single drops or double drop over the glove (the closed fingers & the palm areas) & you’ll see so little of the product go a long long way with absolutely no waste at all. Plus it’s a wonderful product with a fair price tag to its name & does have other uses besides enhancing wood’s longevity.

I have three wood chopping boards that needed oiling after being cleaned. This stuff is perfect for it. No residue. No smell. Dries quickly. Easy to apply. value for money. its clear so you'd never know its on there. Makes my chopping boards look brand new.

I purchased this mineral oil specifically to aid in the cleaning and preservation of an antique firearm on the advice of a friend, and it performed better than I expected. The oil is clear and odourless, which was important to me since I wanted to avoid using anything harsh to the metal and wooden components. It spread evenly and I was able to use cotton buds for the fine details without leaving behind a greasy finish. It worked especially well on the aged wood, where it was absorbed quickly and lifted years of grime and tobacco, showing an immediate improvement without appearing artificially polished or glossy. Although it's not the primary advertised use, the mineral oil proved to be a solid choice for careful, restoration and maintenance. The fact that it’s food-grade and contains no additives gave me peace of mind when working with something where I wanted minimal interference with original materials. I'll now be trying the oil for conditioning our cutting boards, given how well it revitalised the wood on the firearm. I was initially concerned at the price of the item but a little goes a long way, and it has delivered good value for money when I consider how good the conditioning is.

I was sceptical about this product, but wow. It is brilliant. So much better than the Danish oil that I have used for years. Firstly, it is odourless, unlike the Danish oil which has a strong smell. Secondly, it dries in a about a tenth of the time, leaving no sticky residue. But most importantly, it has completely rejuvenated my solid oak counter tops. They look the best that they have looked in ages. As I've only just done it I don't know how long it will last, but it was so quick and easy to apply that I'd be happy to use it weekly.

Does what it says on the Bottle, the knife’s handle pictured was the Colour of Light Pine and very Faded, i used 1 or 2 small drops of this oil each side Rubbed in gently with a finger cut from a rubber Latex Glove, i left it for a few hours then gave it another single drop each side rubbing that into the handle gently then left it over night, the oil has now Returned it to its Original Colour and looks like it was bought Yesterday although i’ve been using it for nearly 5 years.

Seems good so far, got a couple of coats on to a chopping board and a coffee station and they've sealed well with no smell or taste.

Ich habe das Materialix Mineralöl in Lebensmittelqualität (500 ml) für meine Schneidebretter, Holzschüsseln und weitere Küchenutensilien gekauft und bin mit dem Ergebnis sehr zufrieden. Meine Holzbretter wirkten nach einiger Zeit etwas trocken und matt, daher wollte ich ihnen eine gründliche Pflege gönnen. Das Öl lässt sich unkompliziert und gleichmäßig auftragen und verteilt sich sehr gut auf der Oberfläche. Es ist geruchs- und geschmacklos, was für mich bei einem Produkt für Küchenutensilien besonders wichtig ist. Bereits nach der ersten Anwendung war ein deutlicher Unterschied zu sehen: Das Holz wirkte wieder satter, gepflegter und insgesamt deutlich hochwertiger. Die natürliche Maserung kommt schön zur Geltung, ohne dass die Oberfläche künstlich glänzend aussieht. Das Öl zieht gut in das Holz ein und hinterlässt keinen unangenehm klebrigen Film, sofern man überschüssiges Öl nach der Einwirkzeit sorgfältig abwischt. Besonders positiv finde ich, dass das Mineralöl für den Kontakt mit Lebensmitteln geeignet ist. Dadurch kann ich es bedenkenlos für Schneidebretter, Holzlöffel, Servierbretter und andere Küchenutensilien verwenden. Es hilft dabei, das Holz vor dem Austrocknen zu schützen und macht die Oberfläche widerstandsfähiger gegen Feuchtigkeit. Gerade bei Schneidebrettern, die regelmäßig abgewaschen werden, ist eine solche Pflege meiner Meinung nach sehr sinnvoll. Die Anwendung ist denkbar einfach: Oberfläche reinigen und vollständig trocknen lassen, das Öl großzügig auftragen und anschließend ausreichend einziehen lassen. Überschüssige Rückstände lassen sich danach problemlos mit einem sauberen Tuch entfernen. Je nach Zustand des Holzes kann man die Behandlung bei Bedarf wiederholen. Das Ergebnis ist eine angenehm gepflegte und natürlich aussehende Oberfläche. Auch die 500-ml-Flasche finde ich praktisch, da der Inhalt sehr ergiebig ist und für zahlreiche Anwendungen ausreicht. Man benötigt pro Behandlung nicht besonders viel Öl, sodass man mit einer Flasche lange auskommt. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist daher aus meiner Sicht sehr gut. Wer seine Schneidebretter, Holzschüsseln oder Küchenutensilien regelmäßig pflegen und vor dem Austrocknen schützen möchte, erhält hier ein einfach anzuwendendes und ergiebiges Produkt. Ich bin mit der Qualität und dem Pflegeergebnis sehr zufrieden und kann das Materialix Mineralöl in Lebensmittelqualität klar weiterempfehlen.

Fait le boulot qu'on en attend, pas d'odeur et huile bien mes planches de cuisine en bois. J'ai aussi testé sur mon granit, ça l'a bien ravivé sans le rendre gras.

Dat de olie makkelijk is toe te dienen via het spuitmondje. Nergens goedkoper te krijgen.
