Great pair of shoes...
I haven't had these shoes for that long (two weeks), but so far I really like them. I ordered my standard size, and the fit was perfect (I have found that NB are slightly wider then other brands like Nike, so although I ordered a "D" I still think they fit better) despite my slightly wide feet. They can be worn with or without socks, and they are really comfortable. I have not had minimalist shoes before, although I do take my shoes off and go barefoot at home. Despite the warning to transition slowly, I ran 5K in these shoes the day I got them, and while I did experience some soreness in my calves, it wasn't too bad.Anyway, the shoes fit comfortably. It feels like the heel and sides of your foot are being hugged, but there is enough room in the toebox for your toes to move and give you a good push-off. I can't comment on durability because I haven't owned the shoes long enough, but so far I haven't had any problems. The sole is "grippy" and you do feel the road beneath you. I also liked the fact that these bend any which way, even the sole.In terms of style, they look awesome! I have had a few compliments on them, and I think they look great. I never liked how big and clunky regular sneakers look (like boats or something). These are definitely not big and clunky! Anyway, I really like these shoes and since getting them, I have been looking into buying another pair that I don't run in to wear around town just because I like the way they look with jeans. Anyway, these are great sneakers, they fit well, they look good, and they look really cool. What more could you ask for?!?

So comfortable!!! While they lasted!
These are probably the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. I purchased them specifically for the gym. I do crossfit and wanted a minimal shoe just for gym time. The first few months were great! My shin splints were gone and the grip was amazing! I've had the shoes about 4 months. About 3 months in, the sole started separating from the shoe. I wore these 3 times a day for about an hour each time. They've been worn 2 other times outside the gym. Once to the zoo and another golfing. I probably ran 10-20 miles max in them. Other than that, they've been used while lifting, rowing and walking. They're not all but unusable. The toe and heal of the left shoe is separated now the the point where they roll back while walking and frequently catch on the ground causing a tripping hazard. I'm going to attempt to re-glue them, but should not need to do this in 4 month old shoes.I'm very disappointed in the life of these shoes. I reached out to New Balance and was told the activity I'm wearing these for is the cause for the shoes to fail. My response is if your shoes can't handle minimal running and standing, they're not good enough for me. Especially at $120! I was offered a $30 coupon to purchase more New Balance shoes, but I'll never purchase another pair of their shoes again if this represents their quality. If you're looking for a comfortable shoe, you won't find one much more comfortable, but in my experience, don't expect this to last long! I've ordered a pair of Merrell Trail Gloves. Someone I work out with has a pair and has been going to the gym 4-5 days a week for over a year and his shoes look like new.

Would be perfect if it was 0mm drop
This is probably the most comfortable shoe I have owned. It is also the lightest and most flexible shoe I have owned as well. When I first tried it on I thought it was a little tight on the forefoot but the shoe flexed and broke in over the next few hours of walking. I have never had a shoe break in so fast. Now I would describe the shoes as comfortable as wearing a sock.Performance: The shoe is lightweight and has good traction for trails. The shoes did slip a couple times on wet pavement though. If you are used to running barefoot the 4mm rise in the heel will be noticeable, but is no where near as ridiculous as conventional running shoes with their high heels. If you have proper running form you should be able to run in these without heel striking. However, if you are a barefoot purist you will be bothered by the 4mm differential. How they compare to the Merrell trail glove 3: The trail gloves are 0mm drop so they are easier to run in. The tg has better traction on trail and cement but has a stiffer sole. The tg also has arch support, so your foot may or may not fit it making it a possible comfort issue. The minimus shoe has no arch support so in that respect it makes it more of a barefoot shoe than the tg3.I started out with a tg3 but had to return them because my foot did not fit the solid arch. Having a size 14 shoe my options were limited so I settled for a NB minimus despite the 4mm differential. Conclusion: If you are choosing between a tg3 and a minimus if the tg3 fits your foot it is a superior shoe, if it doesn't the minimus is a superior shoe because of its incredible comfort.
