2" Steel Wood Lathe Face Plate, 3/4" x 16tpi Threaded

These faceplates were more heavy duty than what I was expecting. I would purchase them again if needed. Be aware that the holes for the screws are not countersunk to allow for a wood screw head so they will stick up a little. Or you can use a pan head screw.

This is my first plate to learn bowl turning. It is working great. Planing on adding larger plates moving forward.

So this face plate fits my old craftsman lathe perfectly and works really well. The only problem with it is there are no flats anywhere on it so you can put a wrench on to get it off the spindle. Every time I've used it, it got jammed it onto the spindle and I had a tough time getting it off because my work piece diameter was not large enough to create a big enough moment arm to break it free. Unfortunately I had to end up using channel locks on it the last time I used it. I am looking into getting a strap wrench so I don't have to do that again.

just like they said its a little smaller than i needed (but that is mt bad) i should have have read more than the thread size. will keep it who knows my need it some time. fast service and good qualty product would buy again (this time bigger)
