Salomon Women's X Ultra Pioneer Aero Hiking Shoe

I bought these shoes last minute to use on a week long excursion to Egypt: I wanted something sturdy but not too warm to use during our visits to the many sites. I got them three days before we left, broke them in by wearing them to work one day. They were great! Perfect for walking the uneven and often rocky terrain, comfortable and cool enough to use all day long. I highly recommend them. I bought these shoes the size recommended (1/2 size smaller than I usually wear) and they fit my wide feet very well.

I got the same size I would in any normal sneaker. Very comfortable and supports the arch. Didn't even have to break them in, could wear all day 1st time. Have not yet hiked in them, but can't wait. I think they will work well for hiking. Glad I purchased !

My third pair of this brand. Compared to the x mission 3 which is discontinued the sole is more firm which is ok for hiking. I miss the quick lace system. Laces are round and dont hold well unless you really make a tight knot. The inner sole is poor and wont last long. I like the loop on the back, it helps to put them on. As i have the airy version in dusty terrain a lot of dust falls throught the mesh and dirties the inside. Otherwise i love them, really nice shoe, can wear them all day, i hope they last as long as my x missions!

I used to have Brooks hiking shoes and oh man, they hurt so bad. Not these! No cutting or blistering on the heels at all! I double knot my laces and they hold just fine! I also use Merrill’s wool socks. These are great. I use size 5 shoes; usually order 5 1/2 in hiking shoes but these seem a little bigger, so in hence sight it is a true fit- going to order size 5 next time.

Best fit I've ever had! The shoes are solid and well-made. I searched specifically for "wide toe box" and got exactly that. Great tread for day-hikes in the woods, and lightweight enough for walking on sidewalks and streets. Excellent investment. I highly recommend for wide feet!

Okay, I don't know what the issue is with the negative reviews because after YEARS of searching for a light weight/breathable hiking boot I have finally found what I've been looking for. For ONCE IN MY LIFE, I now own hiking shoes that hold my tiny heel in, but DONT make me feel like im breaking a bone when the side of the shoe rubs against my tailors bunyons. My heel doesn't slip out at ALL (Which has always been a major issue with my feet). This shoe is somehow both incredibly supportive yet molds to your out due to whatever material it is. It's also super breathable, but the rubber lining on the bottom also helps protect against mud. It's not a waterproof boot. There are a huge variety of hiking boots/shoes, and I say you just gotta know what your looking for. These are PERFECT for spring/summer hikes. The breathability helps prevent blisters for me and my feet don't get too hot! If you're wanting a water proof boot I'd say go with a more technical salomon boot. This one is perfect for day hikes or everyday wear. I've actually never written an Amazon review and I buy so many products here. I just feel there aren't enough reviews that give this shoe love and I have never been so amazed with a shoe fit in my entire life. It also needs positive pictures! I got 7 1/2, which is my true size. I'm just stunned here.

These were my favorite until they started coming apart. I wore them daily, mostly around the house and yard. They never made it out for a hike and the top of the lacing lattice came apart as well as separating at the toe on the left shoe. I spent the extra money on Salomon's because of their reputation. I am beyond disappointed and glad it happened before the return window closed.

I love Salomon boots especially the sole which is just firm enough for my feet. This is about the 3 or 4th pair I have purchased over the years. I finally broke them out of the box this week and been walking 3-4 miles a day in them and are in love again. For some reason, I switched out over the last few years to another brand and now with these new ones I'm not going back. One review was the shoe laces that come undone easily if not double knotted, which is true but no big deal for me. I am hoping that they are waterproof as we are moving to the PNW and hoping that they hold up in the rain. No complaints so far from me. I'm a happy camper and hiker for sure. Mahalo

Love! Very roomy very comfortable. Have worn them almost daily for 3 years and other than the little tears inside of the heel collar, they are still going strong! Lovely colour too, matches with a variety of outfits
