Can this be used indoors?

We would not recommend this for use indoors. Instead we would suggest the 3M Indoor Insulator Film Mounting Tape.

Why would you choose the exterior version over the interior version? Trying to choose between the two.

What is the difference between the outdoor and indoor ones?

The adhesive tape is designed to be weatherproof.

The film is very thin and can easily get pierced by sharp object if not careful. Has to be installed at least an inch away from glass pane to be effective.
