Illuminated World Globe for Kids, Desk Globe Night Light with Stand

I wanted a globe that could be a nice decorative piece but also something that's intriguing and educational for my 4 year old son. This is that globe. It’s actually more impressive in person. The quality of the globe is great, and the base is very sturdy. The globe was ready right out of the box with the remote batteries included. The globe without the lights looks excellent, has an antique look (my son loves the pictures of the ships in the ocean). When you light it up, it looks even more impressive. The light is LED and illuminates the globe very nicely. The included remote is very basic and easy to use, with the ability to select many different colors with varying brightness. You can have the colors rotate continuously or select a color of your choice. I was thinking of putting it in the office but my son is insisting he wants to use it as a nightlight. I’ve included some pictures with and without the light on. Definitely worth the purchase, you won’t regret it.

Serves as an excellent night light! Very sturdy. Certainly not a "light" light, but that should mean it will be a lifelong purchase as well. I love how under different lighting conditions, it continues to be readable. If you use a dim light and turn the lamp on, you can both read the star and earth atlas maps on the globe. In other words, this product looks great during both night and day. Ella uses it as a night light at bed time. Also serves as a wonderful companion to any other glowy things (ex: rgb lights, lava lamps, etc.) that you may have around the house.

Bought the original version with the cherry wood stand back in April 2017. Great globe. Looks good. Was always on in my kid's bedroom and the bulb only just died last week (November2022). Only reason I give it 4 stars, is because finding a replacement bulb was a chore. BUT, you're welcome everyone, the bulb is an E14 size. Look for that when you're searching for a new color changing led bulb. Must be in a candelabra shape to fit inside the globe. Cost me $20 and it comes with a new remote. Cheaper than buying a brand new globe though : )

This was purchased for my 5th grade daughter and we couldn't be happier with it! First, it was packaged well, but easy to remove from the box. All we had to do was plug it in, the remote batteries were already installed. The remote is pleasantly small, so it is discreet while being easy to operate. Perfect for little hands! Next, the colors are beautiful and striking. While my daughter loves all the vibrant colors, I love the one that makes it look like an old world map, with a subtle glow on the major cities. We can adjust the intensity of the light, so it will also make a unique night light. She cannot wait to show it off at a sleepover. It is attractive just sitting on the table, but we can't wait to surprise friends and family when we turn it on. It is a very light weighted globe on a sturdy base, so it can be moved easily. Ultimately, it is an educational instrument that will impress adults and delight children!

My husband wanted me to have a world globe because I can never get it in my head where countries are in relation to other countries. We got the globe last week and absolutely love it. We keep the colors on the slow fade and placed the globe on an antique table in our great room. It looks beautiful and now when I hear about a country on tv I just jump up and check out where it is. The quality of the globe is very nice and easy to read, would definitely recommend it. Would be a great gift for teenagers so they can memorize their geography before they're old like me. Ha!

Our globe arrived looking like it had been "around the globe" . Quote: "beautiful dark cherry finish on a 2 tier base, and a solid brass metal meridian." WRONG no cherry finish. It's silver . The silver frames has several nicks and looks spray paint on top of what material, I have no idea. A solid brass metal meridian. Oh PLEASE stop! Quote: "REMOTE: One-of-a-kind night light provides 3 levels of brightness, and a constant color stay or pick of transitions to cycle through all of the 16 colors." NO! NO! NO! No remote, no levels of brightness, no different colors to cycle through. It was even missing a nut to secure the frame that the globe is held in. Awful

This is the perfect globe. Looks great even without the lights on and kids went wild when the lights go on at night . It's nice that you can select the colors and there are many combinations ! My 6 year old has been learning continents at school so she is beyond thrilled with a pink globe! It comes with a remote control and kids had no problem choosing the colors. It's very sturdy too so I don't worry about them knocking it over. When not lite, it has the vintage look to it. I can see this being a great addition to an office too.

This is the coolest! We wanted a globe to reinforce the countries around the world with our kids. The LED is an added bonus. The globe looks great on its own, but you can light it up to so many different colors. It even has a remote! Everyone loves it. Included a video to show the variations of color. When you receive the globe- just use a screwdriver to unscrew the top to screw in the LED bulb and you are good to go. Super easy. Highly recommended addition to your literate household.
