Is the stainless uncoated? Want to reduced chemical usage and dont want the coating to flake.

Hello! The base material is a zinc-alloy, which is then finished using electroplating or PVD for corrosion protection. The most native finish is the 'Chrome' one. It for sure will not flake, it's quite resilient and durable. Hope this helps! - Adam

How often do you recommend changing the blades? Does it depend on the amount of use or would you be bake to tell when they are dull and need changing?

Yes - you'd be able to tell they're not cutting hair as efficiently as you'd like, pretty much like you'd tell from any other razor. The lowest blade does a bit more work than the other two so you might even just swap that one out and the others less frequently, you can really dial things in to your preference since they're individually loaded. I personally change mine every 6 weeks or so, give or take. - Adam

Does it give a closer shave then other DE razors? Does it still use the pull them cut technique of plastic cartridge razors?

Hello! Though a multi-blade, it doesn't employ hyesteresis to pull and cut hair below the skin.
