Game changer with baby number 3
I got this for my 3rd baby after a health scare. A few friends and a DNP recommended it to me. I was worried it would be something that I would obsess over but it has been the complete opposite!! This little device has given me so much piece of mind and decreased my anxiety significantly. I wish I would have had this for my first! It has been a game changer and I sleep better at night knowing his heart rate and oxygen are being monitored. The only thing I wish the company would improve is the range from the sock to the base. The base is in our room, if I bring him out to the livingroom it will sometimes alarm that baby is too far away.If you're on the fence, get it. It's worth the money!

Wonderful but best with loose/stretchy sock over it
Can have connection issues, but they are way fewer if you slip a stretchy sock over the owlet sock to help keep it in place. Absolutely worth the money for peace of mind and getting a “little” bit more sleep at night instead of having to guess if your baby is breathing

An expensive item to add unwanted stress, never able to get the app to connect so its useless.
So our second child ended up coming quite a bit early and because he was a premie we figured let's get this for peace of mind and to take some fear and stress off us. It ended up being the total opposite of that and just added to my stress and took quite a bit of time away for it to never work in the end.I was never able to get the sock to connect and set up with the app so in the end it just never worked. There is no way for it to be used without the app and so without the app being able to connect all I had an uncomfortable three hundred dollar sock. Every time I would try to set it up which ended up being many many times over the first two months it would try to connect but would put me in an endless loop that got me nowhere.I did try contacting the company but every time I did I was unable to get a hold of someone or called when they were closed. I will say that yes I could have tried harder or set an alarm when I knew there were open but thats the problem I have with this product, in the end you are buying this for a specific reason, the baby has a problem or for your peace of mind. Our baby came early and wanted a way to track and ease our mind and so taking all this extra work to try and make it work was a real hassle. My wife had issues following the birth and we were in and out of the hospital and so finding that extra time in the mix of the slurry my brain was at the time was hard to say the least. So in the end could I have done more to make it work? Sure, but if I am spending 300 bucks on a sock with the same tech as a 30 dollar finger O2 meter I expect it to not need all these extra hoops or there to be the problems like I faced during a time I wasn't able to handle fully. Thats why I paid the extra money in hopes of getting a problem free device.I will say that amazon was great and started a return for me but in the end by my own admission the time had passed from really thinking I could get it to work and in the end we really would have liked to have it. By the time that I gave up and decided to return it I was going to have to take a hit for a restock fee and not get the full amount refunded. It was one problem after another so in the end I just gave up and I think I might try and just give it away to someone and see if they can maybe get it to work. It's sad that in the end I was unable to get it to work and more so because I really would have loved to have an item like this during a time when we had so much going on. It would have been great to have had that piece of mind and take a little stress off us. Unfortunately it ended up adding to our stress and made nothing but problems and never worked. If you've got the time and mental where with all to try to make a 300 dollar sock work during a time where you are handling a newborn then maybe give it a try. I wouldn't recommend it however, my older kids Nintendo was a breeze to set up, a smart TV easy as pie with a guided set up, heck porting over a whole phone of passwords and apps is easy but make a 300 dollar sock link to an app? Makes me feel like a luddite.

Peace of mind!
My daughter was in the NICU for almost 2 weeks before she came home and she had come home on oxygen due to respiratory issues. After pediatrician said it was good to go off the oxygen I still worried a very much lot about her so we purchased this. Has helped so much more than just ease my mind! It helps when I am rocking her to sleep to kind of indicate when it's best to set her down and I've come to learn her habits a lot more because of this. Its an expensive purchase but to me it was worth every penny!

Highly recommend
As a FTM who was scared about SIDs this has helped my PPA so much. For the first couple weeks I didn’t put it on my baby because I was scared it would burn like I’ve read some say. However as we continued to cosleep I wanted to add an extra layer of caution on so I started using her owlet. This helped me tremendously. I was finally able to get some sleep. My daughters pediatrician recommended we not use it because it can cause more anxiety but that was not the case for me. I liked being able to see her stats but I honestly did not put too much time into looking at it each day. I only use the sock at night while I sleep during the day we never use it but we do add her sleep in the app manually to get the estimated nap times which are pretty spot on. When we transitioned her to her own room at 4 months we started using the dream sight camera above her crib. I loved being able to get alerts when she cries and see videos since I’m paying for the subscription. When my daughter started rolling herself to her tummy to sleep I was even more thankful we invested in the owlet. I could clearly see her face was visible and that she was breathing. My daughter is now 8 months and we’ve been using the sock since she was about a month old and we plan on using it till she is 1. Hopefully we can use the camera well past the 1 year mark. The dream sock paired with the dream sight camera it’s the perfect set up for our family.

Loud Notifications
I use this sock every day on my six week daughter, however it has an annoying alarm when the placement is slightly off… If it detects a misplacement, it beeps so loud and then your phone beeps loud as well… It’s really quite ridiculous for it to be that loud when nothing is even wrong with her! Also, it’ll sometimes go off even if the *** sock isn’t even misplaced… This happens at least four times a day, but I suppose it’s worth it for the peace of mind. Besides, it’s pretty nice to see when she typically falls asleep at night.

LOVE-NEED
Update: I purchased this in July of 2024 for my October 2024 baby. It has been used nightly since November 2024. It is now January 2026 and I had my first issue with the sock. It disconnected from Bluetooth and would not reconnect no matter the troubleshooting steps I took. I had to contact Owlet support and the first person I spoke to was very unhelpful and told me I just needed to buy a new sensor (for an additional $130+) and that really ticked me off. I contacted support again and the second person I spoke to was extremely helpful, had me send pictures, tried to actually assist me and then when it failed, escalated the situation to a higher up who ended up approving a replacement sensor for free. I have yet to receive it as this took place on Friday and it is now Sunday so we will see soon if I do receive it and how connection goes, but so far I am still happy with the product and the customer service I received the 2nd time around and I will still recommend this to new moms who need the peace of mind like I did/do as I never had issues with false readings, and it has always been accurate for me. For almost 15mos of continuous use without any major issues till now, I am pleased.Absolutely love this product. It has SAVED my sanity. Baby girl has worn it every night for almost 8mos. Never had a false reading, is accurate for light and deep sleep as well as her pulse. Unsure about accuracy of oxygen as there isn’t a secondary way to measure that easily, but I’m assuming it’s just as accurate as the pulse is. I wouldn’t sleep without it being on her. Knowing my baby girl is safe, and if she wasn’t I’d get a notification and alarm sound is so reassuring and I’m not up all night watching her breathe. Would totally recommend to any mama.

EVERY NEW PARENT NEEDS THIS!!!
If I could give this 500 out of 5 stars, I would. Nothing is worth more than peace of mind. I did have a little bit of trouble figuring out how to turn the sock off (you hold the main station button down for 4 seconds till you hear 4 beeps, and then I unplug it) because I don’t like leaving it on and charging when i leave the house when it’s already fully charged. It tells me when his oxygen dips in his sleep or if there’s anything concerning. The station will beep yellow if the sock has come off or is improperly placed - and yes it’s annoying but it’s doing its job letting you know the sock isn’t able to monitor the baby properly. It comes with two sizes as baby grows and I use one sock for 2 weeks (left) and then alternate to the right. I use a cheap toothbrush to scrub the sock and be sure to keep it clean or it can cause issues for babies sensitive skin. I am such a paranoid freak and as I’m a first time mom…this is such an incredible product. I love this so much. Yellow - means sock is incorrectly worn/and or coming off. Blue means sock is almost dead and needs to be charged. Lavender means baby isn’t sleeping well/keeps waking up or isn’t comfortable with temperature. RED IS BAD, and thank God I’ve never had red before. But having this product is so essential for all parents. It gives me peace of mind and I love that I can monitor all of his nightly and weekly stats for oxygen and heart rate. It even tells me his comfort temperature. This is extremely accurate and has never given me a tale reading of any kind. Easy to use and once you figur it out and watch a few tutorials, it’s super straight forward. This is an incredibly designed product and it was worth every penny. It even tells you when they’re in light or deep sleep, if they roll over etc it’s so cool. I freak out and I’d wake up so much checking to see if my son was ok, and having this has helped me get more sleep and I love that I’m able to review all of the stats and ensure my peace of mind. This is such a rad product and I think this is an incredible gift for all first time parents. It can be annoying to set up but once you get it down, it’s super easy to use. I only had issues trying to figure out how to turn the actual sock on and off - like I said, make sure it’s on the base station, hold till you hear four beeps and unplug/take off base station and you can wash it or whatever. :) just make sure it’s OFF before you clean it and let it air dry fully in front of a fan.

no longer works in the Care app. They have phased it out.
“The Smart Sock 2 has been phased out and no longer works in the Care app. They have phased it out. You can use it without wifi and the app and it will still alert via the base station but you can not see numbers. The app support ended on the April 7th.”This is their answer to why it’s not connected to the care app. What’s the point without checking the numbers and readings !!! And how can I make sure it’s working!!! Useless. Disappointed.

Maravilloso

The best baby item I've ever purchased.
I have never been so happy about a purchase. With all of the controversy around an item like this, I am so beyond happy I purchased it. I was told I would have heightened anxiety by using it, that I would never stop checking the app, etc.But this item saved me while I was freshly post partum. I spent so much time worrying about falling asleep myself, because I couldn't stop checking on my newborn. I ordered this when she was a month old and she has never gone a night without it since (she's 1, and she will be giving it up soon for our newborn who is due in a few months).I have had no false alarmsThe app works great for both my husbands phone and my phone together (one of us has an android the other has an apple and the apps are different but work fine regardless).I can see my babies heartbeat, and the O2 updates every 10 minutes. So worth the price. We love it.

APP NOT AVAILABLE IN SINGAPORE
App is not available in Singapore, beware. It’s essentially useless.. don’t know why it’s available on Amazon sg.
User
Absolutely not worth it.
The app is difficult to navigate and the connectivity is poor. It’s too hard to get the app to update with the latest data, and the device itself gives false readings way too often.
