Nice, bright lights, easy to install, Made in USA!!
My shop isn't finished yet where I installed these, so I don't have alot of time with them to give an accurate assessment of their quality, but I will share what I have learned so far. Was happy to discover that this is a USA company that built these fixtures! These have come right on almost instantly (small delay from when power is supplied until they all light - no flickering as with CFL or fluorescent) in any temperature, even well below zero in the unheated shop, as you'd expect from LED lights (I will never go back to fluorescent or CFL again). The light is super bright, and the color temperature makes the light look whitish, which is perfect for the type of work I'll be doing out there (automotive, small engine). Makes it look like daylight in the shop at night, and I have no sheetrock or floor in yet. They're 12' feet above the floor (12'6" right now, without the concrete) & having 6 of these in the 30'x26' shop is more than adequate. Could've got away with only 4 here! When you plug in the 5' cord, this makes the 120v outlet on the opposite end of the unit live. Conversely, if you feed 120v to that same outlet, it will make the male prongs of the PLUG live, so be aware of that (I tested it with a multimeter, since I had a feeling this would happen). I just left the plastic prong cover on until I was ready to plug everything in, just to avoid getting shocked while testing. This is a good thing, since you can feed power from any side of the light, and have it power the next light in line with ease, no matter which side the next light in line is on. Having that outlet on the opposite side makes it super easy to install several of these without installing junction boxes or outlets next to each one. I bought 6 of these, and wired them in an "S" pattern (looking at the ceiling), connecting the female outlets to each other via two double-male cords that I made from plugs I cut off old appliances. For my application, I have no use for the pull-chain on/off switch, so I just leave all 6 on, and will eventually control them all with two 3-way wall switches, and a master wall switch that overrides those other 2 - for now, I just have an extension cord hanging from the ceiling. Comes with plenty of chain, so these can hang a good distance from the ceiling. I have a 12' garage door on one end of the shop, so I pried the links open, and removed the chain completely, leaving only the 3 clasps, and hung the light that way, up close & tight to the ceiling. This gave me plenty of clearance when the door is fully open. Customer service from the manufacturer was very good. I had one light that UPS stepped on, or drove the truck over (it still worked too - that's a good sign of quality!!). They sent me a label through Amazon, and I sent it back. I bought another one at the same time to replace it. A couple days later, once they saw the tracking info, they refunded my money for the damaged one before they had even received it. Was very happy with the service. My only complaint about this design, is that if the LEDs fail, you'll probably have to toss the whole fixture, since the imitation fluorescent bulbs containing the LEDs are not replaceable. I'd probably attempt repair somehow using parts sourced off the net. Would be nice if they made replacement parts available, should this happen in the future. Once I start using these lights full time, I'll update this review after a year or so of use. UPDATE 5/11/2019: So far, so good! Lights have been great! My only complaint with these is there is some SEVERE RF interference (seems to be a trait with all LEDs). Radio reception becomes nonexistent with the lights on, and the garage door opener won't work using the remote - shut off the lights, and everything is normal again. Other than that, the lights are very bright, and a nice white color temperature. They've handled super high humidity, low temps (-10ยฐF and colder this past winter), and high temps alike (over 90ยฐF). When I had a bearing failure in my air compressor, the lights flickered, so that tells me they are voltage sensitive ... but that hasn't been an issue since. Highly recommend these lights! Happy with the purchase.

More like daylight than the typical flourescent light
This LED shop light offers 4,800 lumens of light at 5,000 degK temperature. The fluorescent shop lights I am replacing provide 5,200 lumens at 4,100 degK temperature. The LED light temperature is more like true daylight which is 5,000 - 6,500 degK. This higher temperature was a benefit to me, but I was surprised that these LED fixtures are brighter and seemingly give more light than the fluorescents which claim 400 more lumens. I ordered two of these lights and budgeted an afternoon to install them in place of two ancient fluorescents. It took about an hour to take down both of the old lights and install the new ones. Obviously, installation is trivially simple, especially as I was able to reuse the existing ceiling screws with the new fixtures' chains (see first picture). The fixtures are delivered fully assembled, only the chains must be mounted onto the fixture. The chains provided are extra-long, once we are satisfied with their hanging height, I will trim the chains. The fixtures also include plugged wires (two-blade polarized connectors) and pull chains. The pull chains could be a touch longer, but it's easy enough to extend the pull chains. The fixtures provide plenty of light, clean, quiet, bright near-daylight light (see the second picture). The fixtures start instantly with no blinking or warmup required. As well, the fixtures are completely silent. All in all, these are a real improvement over the old fluorescent fixtures. I would buy them again. Note one issue - the lighted wall switches that control these fixtures no longer light (see picture 3). That is, the switches themselves no longer light. I have had this problem with LED fixtures in the past and could usually solve it by switching to dimmable bulbs. However, there is no blinking or flashing of the fixture bulbs, just the lights in the switches no longer light. No big deal...

FrenchMay - Good light, good value.
Light: A very nice two-bulb LED shop light. The light pan is typical in shape for a 4' shop light, but the fit and finish are excellent. The LED bulbs are bright and appear to be protected by plastic tubes (although that is an impression and I actually didn't take a close look). The pull-chain switch grommet and chain are brass, bright and smooth of finish, and the switch works very, very smoothly with no need to tug hard on it. That, I found, was the most pleasant surprise of all. Of course, another pleasant surprise was the quality of the mounting hardware. The hanging chains are finished in a very nice chrome finish and the mounting brackets are first rate, both in ease of installation and strength. You could probably hang a couple of hundred pounds from them, but their appearance is not bulky or unattractive. Installation was a breeze and the light output is what I expected from a 4' LED shop light. Light can be adjusted by raising or lowering the fixture above your work surface by moving the location of the top chain hooks within the chain links. For those that might ask, there is no ballast noise or flickering that you might get from 4' fluorescent shop lights. Packaging: I thought I had already posted a review of the packaging for this light, but I can't find it on Amazon. Regardless, the shipping packaging could be improved a bit. Both the outer, shipping box and the inner, manufacturer's box had been crushed and bent. The packing material used between the shipping box and the product box was just some crushed paper, not the normal air bubble material so many use now-a-days. But, the lighting fixture was not damaged. Overall, I was very pleased with the purchase.

Measure the cord before you install.
The lights are bright and so far light up the garage nicely. The shipper was great too. Why the 4 stars? Because the chord is only 41 inches long. I have seen 4 ft and 44 inches in the answered questions. Might be 39 inches when you buy yours or less. Why not make the chord 50 inches so you can go every third beam at 48 inches? I would have paid a dollar or two more for the extra wire. Measure the wire before you install. Glad I checked after the first two went up and not after all 4 were up. Still unneeded aggravation. Just hate when a good product is cheaped out on for something like a few inches of wire. Update After writing my review I went and measured the other cords. One was 44 inches, and two were 42 inches. Very frustrating to find out after two were up. Swapped out the light for the 44 inch cord and eyeballed the rest with wires connected. I'm using 4 of these to light a 18x11 work area with an 8 1/2 foot ceiling. It lights it wall to wall and there are no more shadows. Easy to see pencil lines and knife scores when woodworking. Will buy more for the back half of the garage and can eliminate 2 of the 4 100 watt bulbs I used to use.

Impressive
I'm highly impressed with these lights. I just received and installed 2 in my work shop. I'm a woodworker - shelves, cabinets, picture frames, etc - and I've been looking for a way to light more of my shop and found these. I decided to try 2 and am very glad I did. They light a large area of the shop. I'll be purchasing 2 more to light an additional large area. I've had 4 - 55 watt, coiled, fluorescent bulbs which were the 5000k. They've been functional and much better than incandescent. However they were limited in the area they illuminated. I've also had 4000k fluorescent lights. There's not a big difference between the 4000k and 5000k, but there is enough to notice. I like the 5000k better. They seem to illuminate with just a little more clarity -- to my eyes. The 40 watt, 4 foot, 5000K, LED are MUCH better than the fluorescents. In the cooler temperatures (40 degrees F) they turn on immediately with full illumination. They also light a much larger area with more uniform light. I can't say anything regarding the longevity of the lights since I've only just installed them. I can only hope they continue to work as well for many years to come. Based on my limited time with them I can strongly recommend the purchase for a home workshop.

Bright, Efficient, Simple Plug In Light
Shopping around for a brighter light for my garage I felt this was the best light output for my needs. There are cheaper alternatives but not as bright. This was to replace an existing overhead light socket controlled by a existing basic wall switch. I also bought this socket outlet adapter https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B002DN6QX2/ref=yo_ii_img?ie=UTF8&psc=1 which I simply screwed into the socket where the existing light bulb used to be and then plugged my new light into that. Flipped my wall switch on and the light illuminated. Completely painless install. Loved the brightness of the light so much that I bought another for my shop which I coupled with an Insteon light dimming module and that I have previously set up with Alexa so this light turns on and off work a simple voice request and works flawlessly with less than a second in lag. While I will never use this feature, I tested the Insteon app and it dimmed this light down to 40%. Less than 40% it started to flicker or go dark. Note, this fixture is not meant to be dimmed but with these bulbs and a dimmer, the option is there, however I wouldn't recommend it. All in all, it's not a steal at the asking price but it is a great light fixture that claims to last a very long time. I'm happy.

Bright, clean light. Feels like it will last
Excellent illumination, and enough hardware comes with it to install in a variety of ways. I opted to eschew the jack chain and simply screw it directly to the rafters in the garage. Makes a huge difference when doing laundry in the garage, previously I used two tall lamps and this one easily overpowers both of them. Cons: The outer aluminum case was slightly bent in one spot, but it was not visible from the ground after I installed it, so I didn't bother fixing it. The pull chain to turn the light on is a tad short, I ended up extending it with some string for ease of operation. Not enough cons to knock off a star in my opinion, the product is well designed, made of sturdy materials, and very bright. I really appreciate that it is linkable in case I need more light in other portions of the garage in the future.

LED
I have not used it above my work bench yet as I'm remolding this area. But I'm using it as a work light now and it is around 2 times brighter than the other older 4 foot with 2 32watts non led lights that was above my work bench that I'm also using as a work light now. What is really nice is the link part as you do not need any special wire to link the lights together, you just use the the plug from the other light and plug it into the first light. I'm going to be getting a couple more of these light for the workshop as soon as I finish my remolding of the workshop. PS. This light gives off a white light which to me is great for an area like a workshop but I would not like it in my livingroom.
