I am so glad I bought this replacement battery! I have an HP Pavilion g6 Notebook PC and it works great. It fits perfectly and the battery keeps a good charge (about 3-4 hours with normal usage) and it only takes a couple of hours to charge even when you're using it. Another nice thing about it is that the battery comes pre-charged. Not fully, but mine was 70% charged. I'm not sure if you're supposed to do anything with it beforehand like charge it fully or completely drain the batter and recharge, but I didn't do anything special and it's working just fine. After having a dead battery for about a year over fear of purchasing an incorrect or faulty replacement battery, I almost cried tears of joy when I could finally disconnect my laptop from the outlet.

Wow. They shipped me what is apparently an HP part with a manufacturing date from 5 years ago (2013)! I was expecting a newly-manufactured, functioning, clone battery. I guess I was wrong.Wouldn't necessarily be a problem, except:1. After charging the battery, the computer instantly gives a "601" battery error, before the operating even starts up: Specifically, it says: "HP Battery Alert The system has detected the storage capacity of the battery stated below to be very low. For optimal performance, this battery may need to be replaced."2. It ran for only about 15 minutes (after charging overnight), before shutting down.3. The nearly 8 year old battery that I was replacing did not show the error mentioned above.I just returned it for a refund, but there's no compensation for my time re-packaging it and waiting in line at the post office.As they say, Buyer Beware!.

I have to update this. I thought the battery was fine, but it always falls off my computer, almost as though it does not fit. I would not recommend this product, and will be trying to get a replacement from HP if they offer it. There is no point having a battery charge (which it does) if it won't stay on

Battery life on a HP DV6 i7 using HD 3000 IGPU is roughly 3 hours on Windows Power Saving Mode. For a $15 battery, that's really good. I'm certain a more expensive battery with more cells would last longer, but I didn't buy that, I bought the lowest priced new battery I could find and that's why this is a 5 Star Review.

I ordered this replacement batter for an HP notebook, which had a battery that just stopped charging. I researched the problem on the internet, tried recommendations, but nothing worked. So, I tried this replacement battery. Arrived in good shape, installed in my notebook easily, and worked beautifully. If you think you need a new battery for your PC, take a look at this vendor.

Battery came with a 40% charge already on it, so all's you had to do is put it in and go. Would buy again! A+++

I am giving 4 stars only because our free return went without a glitch. The battery, itself, came with almost a 45% charge, but did not fit into the laptop even though the description said it was compatible with our laptop. So it was returned.

So, this does fit in my Pavilion dv5-2035dx which I was elated about and it came fully charged HOWEVER the battery lasts about 90 minutes and that’s it. In that 90 minutes I was doing online shopping so I’m assuming if you try to watch a movie then it will die quicker than that. I’ve let it run down to 0% and charged it back to 100%...same results each time. I’ve ordered another battery from another company not on Amazon. The price was a little bit more than this one so we shall see if it makes a difference. I can’t justify spending almost $80 on the HP website for a battery that is discontinued. To be continued...
