Cheap plastic material but does the job, seeing that it’s installed in a car I’m sure it will start cracking during summer heat, factoring in, I live in Florida.

Not shielded, picks up interference.
It works as described. The only problem I experienced is that it does pick up interference from nearby wires. I wrapped the cord near the head unit and 3.5mm jack with electrical shielding tape to stop the light pops and cracks that intermittently comes through.
