Decent little teapot at this price, but may not be for everyone
I'm giving this little teapot (please note it's not a tea kettle but a teapot) five stars because it's perfect for my needs. I especially like the reusable basket where the loose tea goes. It's easy to fill and empty, unlike those little screw-top tea thingees on a chain. But this teapot does have drawbacks that others have mentioned. First, it's rather small. I bought the one-liter version and, while I haven't bothered measuring its volume, it can't possibly be a liter. The stainless steel is sturdy and attractive but shows every fingerprint and waterspot. Yes, the little spherical knob gets hot, but once the water is added and the lid put in place . . . so what? All in all a good little teapot if you like the look of it and only need a small pot. PS: You'll need a brush of some sort to clean the inside because you'll never get your hand in there.

Perfect Little Teapot
I love, love, LOVE this little teapot! During a trip to England in August, everywhere we ordered tea, it came in a little 2-cup stainless steel teapot. It was so charming that I came home and immediately set about ordering one for myself. This one is slightly larger than the standard ones in England, and considerably nicer aesthetically, in my opinion. The handle stays cool unless you put a tea cozy over it. It does what it's intended to do perfectly and I use it every day. I have not put mine in the dishwasher yet, and it is a bit difficult to wash inside by hand. I usually just rinse it out with hot water and it's ready for my next tea break. It seems sturdy and well-made. Totally delighted with it!

Great pot, but not 1L
I don't know how they measure their sizes, but it will not hold 1 liter of water. I used 550 ml of water to make a pretty full pot. I can just add another 175ml without it overflowing. 350ml brings it to the halfway point and I am not going to push it. They must have smaller than standard American and European liters in China. It actually holds a maximum of 700ml not 1000ml. A whopping 300ml shy of claimed capacity. Not sellers fault as the box is marked as being 34oz/1000ml. Just be aware if you truly expect it to be a 1L teapot as advertised. Or somebody at the factory put a smaller pot in the box. However, the box was pretty full as it was and I don't see how a larger pot would fit in it. Maybe, the boxes are misprinted and nobody noticed they were printed for a larger size. Measuring to the brim the 1L advertised pot is 700 ml actual volume. Probably sold at a discount as the box is misprinted and the seller purchased them unaware or just advertised what was listed on the box as the capacity. Seller needs to amend the stated capacity to reflect the actual capacity of products advertised. I wanted a 700 ml pot and only ordered the 1L as a 700ml one was not offered. However, if the price reflects an actual 1L pot then they owe me a partial refund. Be aware and be warned. If you want a 700ml pot then order it as it is a nice teapot. I assume the 1.5L one may not be as advertised either. It may be the 1L one. As whole pallets of boxes probably got misprinted.

Oven Safe and a Unique Look!
Great size! I can pour 4ish mugs of tea before I need to refill it. Works great right on the stove surface (I have electric). The knob on the lid does get hot but I figure that’s normal for most tea kettles. Love the unique design, it looks cute sitting on my stovetop.

Perfect stainless steel teapot
I love this teapot. Had problems with other teapots like burning my hand trying to pour, or the top lid falling off, or a drippy pour spout. No such issues with this one. It has a classic retro look, the handle is easy to grab and not burn your hand, the lid stays clamped down, and no-drip pour. Stainless steel, so pretty indestructible and easy to clean. It also keeps tea hot a lot longer than I thought it would, and as I’m impatient, I like the tea to cool down a bit faster so I can drink it. Makes 3-4 cups of tea. Perfect for one or two people. Highly recommended.

Replacement and regrets
Cheap. Tried this as a replacement and it’s messy and leaks terribly so. Too lightweight.

practical and stylish
I know the importance of making tea in a ceramic pot. But I live in Mexico -- the land of concrete and tile. Two surfaces that are not ceramic-friendly. Several years ago, I bought a smaller version of this stainless steel pot on a trip to Australia to serve as a traveling teapot. When Ibreturned home, I started using it daily. Until my water here corroded the weld on the finial, and it took up a new career as a steely marble. I chose this pot as a replacement. It is a little large to be a travel pit, but I will try it out on trips to Antarctica, Africa, Dubai, the Caribbean, and Japan this year. At least, it will be practical and stylish around the house. My only qualm is that it is made in China. I have no idea how many (if any) political prisoner hands went into its production. But it is always a good question to ask.

Bad Functional Design
While being well built, this teapot is limited by a basket that is way too small for it. Good: Durable stainless steel construction Looks nice in a minimalist themed kitchen Bad: This is okay for making bagged tea. It is terrible for loose leaf tea. - If you make loose leaf with the strainer, you won't get good infusion because it is way too small and traps the leaves at the top. - If you make loose leaf without the strainer, then it is very difficult to clean. The lip that the lid presses into traps tea leaves inside when you try to rinse it out. The spout starts too high, requiring a steeper angle to pour tea, which can result from tea leaking at the lid. As for the lid, the handle for the lid gets too hot to touch when brewing. Use caution. These issues could be fixed by: Make the basket wider and go as deep as possible to allow better loose leaf infusion. Make the spout start lower to avoid leaking from the lid. Make the lid handle out of plastic, or give it a design that keeps it from getting hot.
