This is obviously a bootleg copy of this book. There are absolutely none of the rich illustrations that American Girl books are known for. This is the second week in a row Amazon has screwed me over. I bought this for my daughter's already miserably difficult e-learning. I am so incredibly angry. Absolutely returning ASAP. Why would you do this?!

Good historical story, great read for girls.

The most important aspect of the American Girl books is that girls across America love them! My daughter read and reread these books countless times. That in and of itself is valuable; that she learned history while reading was obviously a bonus feature.Be aware that the books do not shy away from difficult themes. For example, one girl’s best friend dies of cholera. Difficult topics are tackled carefully; however, you may want to pre-read to make sure that the books are age appropriate for your specific child.
