Review: Works really well. Don't use kleenex to wipe off. - I used this pen to darken the engraving on some stainless steel medic-alert bracelets. It works really well and I'm happy with the product. But I learned a few things. Clean the metal thoroughly with alcohol before starting, especially if you've already worn or used the item. Let the alcohol dry completely. Paint over the engraving generously and set a timer ! Wipe the excess off using semi-absorbent stiff paper, such as printer paper. Don't wipe with a kleenex or cotton, you'll take up most of the paint. There's no law against doing a second coat. The package directions don't get in to the details, but learning by doing is good. I'm considering a coat of clear nail polish over the engraving, because medic-alert bracelets get a lot of wear. I'll update this, if the nail polish idea is any good.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: did the color stay for long time? does water clean up?**
A: Of all the different ways I ink my stamped art, Sharpie’s, ImpressArt ink, ImpressArt markers, other liquid inks, these enamel markers are my favorite.  I like how I can press down to get a droplet if needed.  I find that the ink lasts a long time (less so on rings that I wear daily and don’t remove to wash my hands, etc.).  It’s very easy to use and direct.  I do recommend two coats though for the best results.  I do a coat, let it dry a few minutes, wipe/buff the excess, and re-ink, let dry, wipe/buff/tumble.  I think you’ll find it works really well.

**Q: Is this refillable**
A: The Stamp Enamel that comes in the bottle is a thicker consistency than the ink in the pen, so I  don't think you would be able to use it to refill the pen, even if you were to find a way to get the pen open to refill it.

**Q: Any finished project pictures? Wanting to know if this makes a decent starbux green on aluminum.**

I guess these are made more for the stamped stuff than engraving. Tried on grooved engraving and it didn't stay in the lines. Not deep enough? Is my guess. I made the engraving thicker and it still wouldn't stay when I gently wiped. So then I tried to draw with it inside the lines and it sorta worked, but still not great. I'll just save these for my stamped projects.
