The recommended average TBW Rating is 4, for an average typical user. I am very pleased with the overall performance of the WD-Black. And have found it runs cooler than my Samsung EVO's. And seems on equal footing speed wise. I replace my SSD's from primary position to secondary non-backup position every 4 years.
